Feedback for your online store from the community
Hello, so I'm super new to all of this and have just been learning as I go. I've been "open" for roughly 3 weeks now and get between 100-200 visitors to my site daily. I have had a couple of people put things in their cart and another couple make it to checkout but never convert! Can anyone help me out and tell me what I can do better?
Thank you!

Hi @BPayne
Your product page looks good, There's room for improvement on the home page, On first sight its not clear what you are selling, you can improve the copy, reduce your brand name font size or completely remove it.
Increase the font size of This "For all of your kids apparel needs" and put it on top of your Hero section right now its not even visible on a PC.
Use chat bots,
You can retarget your visitor by using retargeting ads.
You need to keep testing to find what clicks.
Good luck with your new venture.
Hi @BPayne,
I’m Richard - CRO expert from PageFly - Shopify Page Builder App.
Congrats on your new store!!! I have just taken a quick look at your website and here are some plus points:
Have a sticky header: This will help customers navigate from every part of the homepage to any page of your store more conveniently.
That being said, here are some suggestions for your store to increase the conversion rate:
1. Have a favicon for your store
This makes your store look unique and professional. You can check this Shopify guide for more details https://help.shopify.com/en/manual/online-store/images/add-favicon
2. Redesign your notification bar
Make your notification bar well-designed and simple with your convincing brand values. This keeps the intrigue high, inspiring them to scroll & learn more about your products.
3. CTA buttons
A primary call to action button is one of the important things for a home page of an online store.
With this button, you will redirect customers to the page you want them to take action mostly. It can redirect to a collection page, or a product page, etc.
It’s great when you placed a “Make a Splash” button on your banner. A CTA button here will urge visitors to make the purchase and it is a great way to optimize your home page.
But, please rest assured that all CTA buttons should have the same styling to boost the conversion rate.
4. Add testimonials - customer reviews
Customer reviews are proof of your product quality. This section will help you build customers' trust. You can show rating stars for each product or you can add customer reviews as text and photos.
5. Have a benefit section
Adding a benefit section in the middle of the homepage will give your customers a reason to purchase from you instead of the competition. This helps reduce the bounce rate and increase the likelihood of purchase.
Some other comments on the homepage:
- You should have at least 1 featured product showing details
- Have social media to engage with your customers
Furthermore, you can consider using a page builder app with a Shopify theme made for this niche to enhance your store appearance and increase the mobile experience for customers. You can check out the following themes Blum, Sense, Dawn…
And that's my feedback! Hope it helps your business.
Cheers!

Homepage: Homepage designs guide your visitors around your website. To engage visitors you need to work on the homepage layout design.
Include trust indicators on the homepage. Homepage content should be strategically decided. You can add a ‘Call to action banner’ ‘New arrivals’, ‘Top selling products, Most popular collection, announcement bar, Today's deals, and offers, etc on the homepage to engage users.
Your store should be clear navigation. The store should have easy to access the shopping cart.

Improve SEO, links, usability, and performance score to increase conversion & sales (Your page could be better)
Check your store with the Page insight tool to get the score. because the low mobile score can kill the website traffic and lose revenue. optimizing a Shopify site for high page load speed is a major priority.
Compare your store with your competitors. Also, compare your product price with others. Also, check the shipping cost you are offering.
Google Search Console :
Is your website exist on the search result page? (Your brand name). If yes then it's good to see, google is indexing and the user will reach you easily. Unless your store is completely invisible.
If you are not using the Google Search Console yet, set it up now. Google Search Console report will let you know if your pages are indexed or not at all. If none of your pages can be found by Google, then it may have an issue, as this means no organic traffic at all. And No traffic means no Conversion.
You need to focus on the following points........
Hope these points will help you! We will share with you a free audit report of your store If you wish!

Hello @BPayne,
This is Gina from flareAI app helping Shopify merchants get $5Million+ in sales from Google Search, on autopilot.
I've taken a look at your store. Nice collection! I've some suggestions to increase the conversion rate.
1. Add sections like 'New Arrivals' and 'Hot Sellers' to help keep customers updated on new products and give exposure to new collections.
2. Make your product pages more informative by adding detailed product descriptions that outline the features and benefits of your products. Providing this valuable information can help increase customer engagement and encourage sales.
3. Display store's contact info like phone number, email address, and office address in the Contact Us page.
4. You can add testimonials on the home page to make the store look more professional. Testimonials allow your satisfied customers to step forward and address the questions and objections that fill the minds of your prospective buyers for you.
5. Add social media for the store to increase the traffic. By showcasing your social media profiles in the footer, you can raise awareness of your brand and increase your online presence, making it easier for customers to engage with you and share your content.
6. Add a FAQ page to provide information on frequent questions or concerns
7. Discounts and limited-time offers will help to increase sales.
8. Text on the logo is not clear. Logo is an important part of your company's brand, and makes a significant a on a company's public perception
9. Add About Us page which is a reflection of the purpose and personality of the business.
10. Add more detailed filters in collection pages to help your visitors narrow in on the specific product they're looking for and find products they might be interested in based on certain features (e.g. size, color, category)
11. Add sticky header
Adding sticky header allow users to quickly access the navigation, search, and utility-navigation elements without scrolling up to the top of the page. They increase the discoverability of the elements in the header and the chance that users will take advantage of them.
12. Add blogs to the store
Blogging is an amazing way to drive traffic to your website and increase your SEO. The more your blog, the more content the search engines have to crawl and index. This means they can easily recognize that your site is a resource of information for people to access.
Hope this helps
Gina
