Why am I not getting any sales on my menswear website?

Hello Everyone,

 

My website is : www.zebraclothings.com.

Its a menswear website. We had launched our website on the 22nd of June. And Since then we have received no orders.

We have been running ads on Facebook and Instagram. We have almost spent 80K on the ads, but we have very less traffic and no sales at all. 

We run our ad through ad agency, and they have done SEO as well..

Please guide us, as to how can i Improve my sales and traffic.

I've taken a look at your website and it really does look fantastic! There are two things that come to mind when viewing your shop that I believe will increase your conversion rate. 

 

  1. Currency conversion application: When I noticed the price point of your products, I could see that it was listed in India Rupee. Comparing the number in USD will seem like a high ticket price and, even though it is clear that the currency is India Rupee, it's psychologically triggering an expensive price tag in the mind of a buyer outside of India. I would suggest installing a currency conversion app that will automatically detect the local currency of your visitor and adjust the pricing accordingly. The customer will still checkout in the currency you have set in your shop but they will be able to estimate the conversion exchange.
  2. Fill and/or reduce your menu dropdown: When a customer hovers over the "SHOP" dropdown menu, it looks rather empty. I encourage you to fill it with more categories OR reduce the width of it by moving the "By Occasion" category below "By Pattern". I'd also suggest moving the "Contact Us" page beside "About" as opposed to nestling it in the dropdown menu. It'll fill up your header with trustworthy pages that are likely to increase the time spent on your website.

As for your advertising campaigns, I would suggest taking a look at our Sales Channels in India here for more guidance on where/how to market your products.

What are the competitive advantages of your products? Why are they superior? What benefits can you deliver to your Customers? 

 

By highlighting your value propositions, you can higher chances of persuading the visitors to make the purchasing decision. Here is an example of how you can present the value propositions:

3. FAQ and Customer Support

 

Prior to the final purchasing decision, Customers tend to have a lot of questions, most of them can be answered by a simple FAQ (frequently asked questions) section. A well-written set of FAQ can build trust, confidence and make your Customers feel more secured, thus increasing the conversation rate. First impressions count, and after running your site through pagespeed insights I can see performance is poor for both desktop and mobile, which will immediately discourage users. Here's the mobile report:

There seems to be a lot going on with your home page, so maybe get rid of all the transitions. Also I'd lose the hero carousel - they are proven not to increase conversions and increase page load times.

 

I think it's important to address these fundamental issues before looking at other areas of your site. Hope that helps!

The Hero carousel are the 3 alternating images in a slideshow at the top of your site:

Top 5 reasons why carousels are bad for your website

  1. Negative impact on UX. People like to be in control of their website experience, which is drastically reduced if you try to make them interact with a carousel that is set to autoplay at a speed that you feel is right, but is actually too fast to read all of the text on each of the slides.
  2. Adding more slides will not improve visibility for the offers at the back of the run. The click-through rate for carousel slides drops-off massively after the first 2 or 3. So, if you are wondering why your rotating offers are not getting clicks, that’s why.
  3. Page-load times increase. More slides add to the ‘weight‘ of the page, slowing load times and impacting UX. Slow page-load speeds also have a negative impact on SEO.
  4. Poor mobile adaptation. One reason that carousels were so popular many years ago was that we only had desktop machines to design for. A nice widescreen format with tones of screen space to fill with your cool images and text. But this has changed.
    We now have a multitude of screens to consider and many of these are just not big enough to accommodate the content we are throwing at them.
    Also, users prefer to scroll on mobile devices rather than attempt to interact with arrows or dots that control a slider.
  5. They just look like adverts. Everyone hates banner ads on websites and there is a big danger that your carousel just looks like another banner ad, which will get ignored by the visitor.
