Feedback for your online store from the community
I’m having trouble making sales. I would appreciate someone looking into it to see what I could do to improve my chances.
Can you share your website's url?
I’ve only really had a chance to get it viewed on TikTok a lot to be honest. But the website has been visited quite often. I’m probably overthinking it to be honest since I opened it only Saturday. This is my first time doing any of this so im relatively new.
Just 4 days? 😄
To be honest, unless you had a pre-launch campaign I would not expect any sale any time soon. Some merchants have to wait up to a year. If you are lucky, one month.
Hi @Nolldaddy
I'm Garcia from PageFly - Shopify Landing Page Builder app.
Congratulations on your new store! Your website has a clean and organized layout, which is great as a foundation. You might put many efforts on this. Based on my experience about CRO and UI/UX case studies, I have a few small suggestions that might help improve your sales:
1/ Stand out your site with a favicon
Give your store a unique identity that sticks in customers' minds with a personalized favicon. This tiny icon on browser tabs can help for brand recognition. Here is the guide from Shopify for adding it: https://help.shopify.com/en/manual/online-store/images/add-favicon
2/ Clear and easy “Add to cart and Checkout” process
A clear and prominent CTA button on your homepage is crucial for an online store. This button guides customers to the most important action you want them to take.
You should place more “Add to cart” and “Buy Now” button from the homepage and collection page. If I want to add a product, I have to go from homepage > product page. If there are some Product list with ATC on the homepage, the merchant might add them directly, for example:
It’s better if we have a pop-up cart after I added an item to it. I think you should check if your current theme support for this feature or not. Here is the sample of pop-up cart:
You should create the easiest way for the customers to add to cart, add related/frequent bought items to the cart.
A primary call to action button is one of the important things for a home page of an online store.
With this button, you will redirect customers to the page you want them to take action mostly. It can redirect to a collection page, or a product page, etc.
3/ Make the text is easy to scan and mind the padding
It’ll be better if you adjust the padding and the text which overlaid the pictures below. I think it’s hard to scan and read. You should add more padding for them or adjust the position. According to UX rule, users can not read large-width text, it should be focused on a suitable width to scan easily.
