Why are sales dropping and carts getting abandoned on Southminisplits.com?

12 1 1

Good afternoon. I am looking for some website feedback. We were getting some pretty good sales around two weeks ago, and now our sales have dropped off a lot.

In particular, we have been getting a lot of abandoned carts that are not converting, and we are just not sure why. Our checkout process looks pretty straight-forward.

Looking for your guidance and for a serious critical review if possible (so that i can really know what to change)

Hi @southminisplits

This is Kate from PageFly - Shopify Landing Page Builder app.

You're doing a great job with your store. I noticed the clear layout, high-quality images, and easy navigation during my visit.

Drawing from my extensive knowledge in eCommerce development and CRO (Conversion Rate Optimization), I'd like to offer a few suggestions to enhance your conversion rates and achieve your first sale:

1. Boost Your Store’s Credibility with Authentic Customer Testimonials and Payment Trust Badges

While visiting your store, I notice a reliance on Trustpilot reviews. While Trustpilot is reputable, it permits reviews without verified purchases, which may not fully represent customer satisfaction. A compilation of positive customer experiences, when showcased on your site with an engaging and transparent design, will significantly enhance trust among prospective customers.

👉 To augment your store's trustworthiness, I strongly advocate for incorporating genuine testimonials from verified buyers. Incentivize feedback with offers such as additional warranties or discounts on subsequent purchases.

Your current footer may lack some payment badges. Integrating payment trust badges in your site’s footer is a strategic move to decrease cart abandonment. These badges not only inform customers about the secure payment methods available but also align your brand with esteemed names like Visa and PayPal, serving as a seal of trust and reliability.

👉 You can check out some badges bellow:

2. Drive Sales with a Dynamic Promotion Section

With the approach of summer, demand for air conditioning units is poised to surge. Seize this seasonal opportunity to boost sales by amplifying your promotion efforts. At the moment, there is only an announcement bar.

👉 Strategically place countdown timers across your site, particularly on the homepage, to create a sense of urgency. This tactic not only highlights your offers but also encourages timely action from visitors, leveraging the seasonal increase in demand to your advantage.

3. Enhance User Engagement with Interactive Hover Images

The current product images are only show the items and there is no additional information. Enhancing your site with hover images adds a layer of interaction that significantly enriches the user experience.

👉This feature, when implemented on product images, reveals additional information or product details, such as the contents of an AC bundle, with a simple cursor hover.

1. Utilize the FOMO Effect with a Strategically Placed Countdown Timer

Elevate your product pages and minimize cart abandonment by integrating a sense of urgency into your current promotions. While displaying discounted prices is an effective initial step, amplifying the urgency can significantly impact purchasing decisions.

👉 To achieve this, I recommend positioning a countdown timer directly beneath the product price. This strategic placement ensures immediate visibility, compelling potential buyers to act swiftly to capitalize on the limited-time offer.

Continue your excellent work and remain patient. Hope my opinions can help you in your journey.

Best regards,
