Feedback for your online store from the community
I've put $30 dollars into advertising and have gotten 300 people to visit my site from it but nobody is clicking the add to cart button. I've made it clear that shipping is free, added reviews, and the site looks clean with no turn-offs. I am however using the dawn theme, as I don't have money to invest in a better looking site.
If the product is no longer needed/wanted why would people click the link? Is there something I'm missing?
Hello @breezewinter,
Greetings from flareAI app helping Shopify merchants get $7Million+ in sales from Google Search, on autopilot! I am Gina, and I am here to help.
There are several factors that may lead to users clicking on your ad but not clicking the "add to cart" button. Here are some potential reasons:
- Your product's price might either be too high or too low, which could create doubts about its quality or value among potential customers.
- With numerous similar products available from other competitors, visitors may be comparing options and prices before committing to a purchase.
- The product you are offering may not be meeting the needs or desires of your target audience, and your advertising might not effectively reach the right people who would be interested in your product.
- Lack of a sense of urgency or scarcity might deter visitors from taking immediate action, such as limited-time offers or low-stock notifications.
- If the checkout process is overly complex, people might become frustrated and abandon their cart before completing the purchase.
- Your website may not convey enough trust and credibility, leading visitors to hesitate in making a purchase. It's essential to ensure that your site looks professional, includes clear contact information, and employs secure payment methods.
- Even with free shipping and positive reviews, your product's value proposition might not be compelling enough to persuade visitors to make a purchase. Your product should clearly communicate its unique benefits and how it addresses potential customer's pain points.
To enhance the conversion rate and turn visitors into customers, consider implementing the following steps:
* Focus on targeting the right audience who genuinely show interest in your product.
* Seek feedback from potential customers to better understand their concerns and preferences.
* Consider providing limited-time discounts, free gifts, or other incentives to encourage visitors to make a purchase.
* Clearly communicate the unique benefits of your product to demonstrate its value.
* Showcase customer testimonials, trust badges, and guarantees to build trust with potential customers.
Let me know if you have any questions.
Gina
Hi @breezewinter ,
This is Kate from PageFly - Shopify Page Builder App. I would love to share with you some tips to do and improve the conversion rate.
You can nail conversions with a better Homepage based on:
For the landing page, you can use this checklist:
One more thing, don’t pass on promotion campaigns from now until the end of the year. You have a lot of chances to get a higher CRO on these occasions. If you haven't yet prepared for the Back-To-School season, here are some suggestions to help you get started:
It's better if you can share your URL so that I can have a closer look to give feedback on it.
Hope these tips and tricks can help you get more sales.
Good luck and have a nice day! Cheers!

Hi, here are some of my landing pages, receiving thousands of sessions but still no conversions. I have no abandoned carts either. I have made sure customers are able to actually buy products by placing an order myself too.
Hi @breezewinter ,
I would like to have some feedback for your product pages:
1. Improve your Product Images to facilitate a visual evaluation
When I clicked on your variant here, the image doesn't change to the corresponding variant image:
Besides, you should prepare higher-quality product images. When I click to zoom them in, they are quite blurry. And always provide ‘feature callout’ and 'in scale' images which not only provide the unique selling point of the product but also show the size of the product.
2. Improve your Product description
I found it hard to figure out the product's parameters, especially for technical products. The merchants are easier to compare and make purchasing decisions if they know the materials, original, size,...
I found some examples that you can refer from:
3. Create FOMO with your Stock and Countdown timer
You have already had your stock information in your Product detail, but it is not very clear. I suggest that you need to explain more about it and add a countdown timer for stock or for your discount to create urgency for buying decisions.
4. Improve reliability through customer reviews
Customer reviews are proof of your product quality. This section will help you build customers' trust. Besides, showing rating stars for each product, you can add customer reviews as text and photos. Here is an example:
Hope my suggestions can help to be your solution. Feel free to let me know if there is anything unclear.
Wish you and the store the best of luck!
