Hi everyone we run a women’s clothing e-commerce shop called YC Clothing. We’ve just started and we know that we won’t be getting sales right away, but I’ve noticed that many people (in the hundreds) are viewing our site, but not purchasing. Why is this? Could you look at our site and give us feedback? We would appreciate all feedback in order to steer us into the right direction! Thank you all ever so much!

Hi YC Clothing,

This is Amee from Gojiberry - Shopify Survey & Feedback App

First of all, congratulations on setting up your site! Your site looks quite wonderful and well-made. I took a look at your store and have a few suggestions that will help increase your conversion rate:

1. Call to action button. Add some call-to-action buttons under your products on your landing page, as well as on your product page.

2. Adding a blog. Adding helpful and valuable info through blog can help attract the right kind of customer to your site.

3.  Build trust. Sometimes buyers show interest and abandon their cart because they are not sure if they trust your store. Adding information such as company name, address, or a number helps. Connecting to your social media feed helps give some social proof. Also, trust pilot rating etc.

4. Influencer Collab. Since you have visually appealing products, it would be good to connect with micro-influencers, send them some of your pieces, and ask them to create some content for your social media as well as your Shopify store.

5. Connecting online with offline. If you have a showroom / physical store, make sure to always be telling your customers about your online store, adding a quick card with your online store address provides your new customers a chance to purchase again without coming to your physical store.

6. Testimonials. Try to showcase at least 5 testimonials on your site. Whether it's from friends and family, or your offline store customers. Having some social proof helps boost consumer confidence in your site.

7. Ask your customers! (Most effective for increasing conversion) When you have some converting customers, ask them how they found out about your shop. You can easily do so with a post-purchase survey app, and reward your customers with coupons/points to keep them coming back again. Once you find out your strongest marketing channel, focus more effort and money on that.

Hope this helps!

The Ultimate 12 Best Practices to Growing Your Shopify Store

Hi @ecc3f7-4, this is Kate from the PageFly Shopify Builder team.

It’s great that your store is driving traffic. However, the big question is, do you know the source of this traffic, or what specific factors are contributing to it?

Tracking your store's analytics is essential. By identifying which channels or marketing strategies are most effective, you can continue to refine and optimize them for even better results.

I have also reviewed your store and I have some suggestions on how you could boost things up a bit.

1. Optimize the homepage.

  • Use an image that directly showcases your products and a straightforward title: This approach will ensure that your content is both visually appealing and immediately understandable to your audience.

For example:

  • Make the images even: Setting a consistent tone and mood for your store and products is excellent. However, maintaining consistent image sizes is equally important for a cohesive visual experience.

  • Display more collections in the homepage. This will give visitors a quick overview of what your store offers. For instance:

  • Add sneakpeaks to customer reviews. This strategy is effective both on the homepage and product pages. It's especially beneficial to include real-life images of your product.

  • Take advantage of the announcement bar. Consider offering free shipping

2. Optimize the product page

  • The product title: While enhancing SEO for your product and brand is important, an overly wordy and confusing title can negatively impact the customer experience. Consider relocating the sub-keywords to the product description instead.

  • Add a “Read more” button instead of endless scrolling. Plus, the images are duplicated.

I believe these suggestions will help you improve your traffic and conversion rates.

Wishing you a wonderful and cozy day ahead, and all the best in your business endeavors. Keep up the great work!

Cheers,

Kate | PageFly team

Hey there,

Congrats on the launching of your store! It has a lot of potential, so here are some friendly suggestions 🙂

1. Consider adding a sticky header menu that stays at the top as shoppers scroll. It makes navigation super easy and helps customers find what they're looking for without having to scroll all the way back up.

2. Create an About Us page. Customers love to connect with the people behind the brand. Share your journey, values, and what makes your store unique.

3. Add a testimonial section. Real feedback from happy customers adds credibility and trust to your store.

4.  Make sure all your product images are of high quality and the same size. Consistency in image quality and size gives your store a professional look.

5.  Adding a footer menu is something you should consider. Include links to essential pages like "Privacy Policy," "Terms of Service," and an "FAQ" section. Speaking of legal stuff, create clear and concise "Privacy Policy" and "Terms of Service" pages. These pages build trust and protect both you and your customers. That leads me to another suggestion: Install a compliance app. It's a smart move to ensure you're following data privacy regulations. Customers appreciate when their data is handled responsibly.

6. Creating  brand awareness is of a great importance. Consistently publish engaging content, run promo offers, and send out newsletters to keep your audience informed and excited about your products.

Of course building a successful online store takes time, but with these improvements, I think that you will definitely improve the user experience and will start selling. Hope that I helped! Good luck and happy selling 🙂
