When I look up my website, it doesn't show up on any of the pages on google. I can go straight to the website with the link no problem, but I want my website to be shown without having the link. My website is "GloUpBeauty.store", if anyone can help me out, I'd greatly appreciate it

Hi @GloUp! Thanks for reaching out to the community. It's Nick here from BON Loyalty, the essential loyalty app for Shopify businesses.

It seems like you're experiencing an issue with search engine results pages (SERPs), which is related to SEO. Here are some recommendations you can consider resolve it:

1. Submit the Website to Google Search Console
Why: Google needs to know about the website in order to index it and display it in search results.

How:

- Go to Google Search Console.

- Add and verify the website (you’ll need to prove you own the website by following Google’s verification methods, like adding a small HTML file to the website or using a DNS record).

- Once verified, submit the website’s sitemap (usually found at www.GloUpBeauty.store/sitemap.xml), which helps Google crawl and index all pages on the website.

2. Optimize the Website for SEO
Why: If the website isn't optimized, it may not rank well in Google search results.

How:

- Title Tags: Make sure each page has a unique and descriptive title tag that includes relevant keywords (e.g., "GloUp Beauty - Premium Skincare Products").

- Meta Descriptions: Create compelling meta descriptions for each page.

- Content: Add high-quality, original content that provides value to your users. This could include blog posts, product descriptions, customer reviews, and more.

- Keywords: Use keywords that people are likely to search for when looking for beauty products, skincare, or other related services.

3. Check the Website's Mobile-Friendliness
Why: Google uses mobile-first indexing, meaning they prioritize mobile-friendly websites in search results.

How:

- Use Google’s Mobile-Friendly Test to check if the website works well on mobile devices. If not, they may need to adjust their website design to be more responsive and mobile-friendly.

4. Build Backlinks
Why: Websites that have more backlinks (links from other sites pointing to them) tend to rank higher in Google search results.

How:

- Reach out to relevant websites or blogs to link to the site, especially in the beauty or skincare niche.

- Promote the website on social media and encourage others to share it as well, which can also drive traffic and build backlinks.

5. Wait for Indexing
Why: Sometimes it can take time for Google to index new websites and update their search results.

How: Once all the steps are taken, it may take several weeks for the website to appear in search results. You can use the URL Inspection Tool in Google Search Console to check if Google has indexed the site.

I hope these suggestions are helpful! Don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions, and best of luck with your store!

Hello @GloUp

When I search "site:gloUpBeauty.store" on Google, your page is there - meaning your website already listed on Google but your ranking is not high. That's why you can't find your page from the search.

If you want to rank higher on branded keyword like your store's name, you need to:

1. Lock down your homepage SEO

  • Open Online Store → Preferences and put “GloUp Beauty | Shop Cruelty-Free Skincare” (or your exact store name) at the very start of your Page title.
  • Use your store name in the H1 on the homepage (e.g. <h1>Welcome to GloUp Beauty</h1>).

2. Build branded backlinks

  • List your site in directories or partnerships that use your exact brand name as link text (“GloUpBeauty.store”).
  • Reach out to any blogs or local business partners you work with and ask for a “Featured on GloUp Beauty” link.

3. Leverage social profiles & citations

  • Claim your name on Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and link back to your homepage.
  • If you serve a local area, set up a Google Business Profile under “GloUp Beauty” so your brand shows up in Maps and local results.

4. Add Brand structured data

  • In your theme’s theme.liquid, insert this JSON-LD snippet under <head>—swap in your name, logo URL, and homepage URL:

<script type="application/ld+json">
{
"@context": "https://schema.org",
"@type": "Organization",
"name": "GloUp Beauty",
"url": "https://gloupbeauty.store",
"logo": "https://gloupbeauty.store/path-to-logo.png"
}
</script>

  • This tells Google “Hey—the brand name of this site is GloUp Beauty.”

5. Monitor and refresh

  • In Google Search Console, check the “Performance” report for your branded query and look for any drops in impressions or clicks.
  • If you see weird competitors above you, click “Inspect URL” on your homepage to request a fresh re-crawl.

Hi, I’m Wayne from Akohub. We have been working with many brands to run online stores. After viewing your website, I believe our expertise could add value to your business.

1. Your Store Is Too New or Not Yet Indexed

Google can take time to discover and index new websites. Speed up the process by submitting your sitemap to Google Search Console and using the URL Inspection tool to request indexing for your homepage and key pages

2. Sitemap Not Submitted or Indexing Issues

If Google doesn’t know about your pages, they won’t show up in search. Make sure you’ve submitted your sitemap (found at yourstore.com/sitemap.xml) to Google Search Console and check for any indexing errors or warnings

3. Lack of Quality, Optimized Content

Google favors sites with original, helpful, and keyword-rich content. Add detailed product descriptions, blog posts, and use relevant keywords in your meta titles and descriptions to improve your SEO

4. Technical or SEO Mistakes

Technical issues like “noindex” tags, blocked pages in your robots.txt, slow site speed, or broken links can prevent Google from showing your site. Regularly check Google Search Console for errors, ensure your site is crawlable, and fix any issues found

Hi @GloUp

After trying to search your website on Google, it seems like you have not done SEO on your website yet properly, and this is also the reason why you fail to find your website in Google Search.

SEOAntJeffery_0-1748414019867.png

Here are some methods you can use to make your website display in a better way on Google, for your reference:

1. Add your website property with Google Search Console and follow the guidelines provided by Google directly to set up store settings properly. Here I attach a tutor guide from Google, and you can use it to connect the website with Google Search Console properly and get started to do store SEO.

2. The length of the meta title and meta description is too long, and they are not optimized properly. The recommended length of the meta title and meta description should be within 50-70 characters and 100-200 characters. Too long meta title and meta description will not be able to show all page details when a user searches on Google, and it is not good for store conversion as well.

3. Focus on page content currently and after optimizing page contents properly, submit a sitemap to Google Search Console, and it will let Google index your store page contents directly. This will be helpful for the website to get more search results on Google. You can also check the way to submit a sitemap properly, which I found from the Shopify Help Center.

Lastly, consistently optimizing store page contents and updating website structures from the backend is very necessary to let you gain more traffic and have better performance on Google. If you find it quite hard to do all the work on your own, you can also use the tool to detect a store's SEO status. Really hope your website will have a better result after doing so. Cheers!

Your store is indexed but not ranking well yet. You can verify it by searching your store using:

site:gloupbeauty.store

If you want your store website to rank better (for example, with keyword "GloUpBeauty", you need to do focus a lot on SEO & content (especially unique, helpful, reliable, people-first content as per Google's guideline)

In the meantime, you can optimize other SEO elements like submit your sitemap, optimize your titles and descriptions, monitor your indexing status & improve page speed, and many more. If you’re not sure where to start with such stuff, a tool like our SearchPie SEO optimizer will definitely help & kick in without much effort. Cheers!

Hi @GloUp ! This is a common concern for new Shopify stores. When I check your site using "site:gloupbeauty.store" on Google, I can see your homepage is indexed, but other pages aren't showing up, which indicates a page indexing issue rather than a complete visibility problem.

Main Issues & Solutions:

  • 1. Page Indexing Problem: Google has only indexed your homepage. You need to help Google discover and index all your important pages (products, collections, about page, etc.).
  • 2. Submit to Google Search Console: Add your site and submit your sitemap (usually at gloupbeauty.store/sitemap.xml) to help Google crawl all your pages systematically.
  • 3. SEO Foundation: Ensure each page has unique title tags, meta descriptions, and proper content structure. Beauty brands especially need keyword-rich product descriptions and compelling content.
  • 4. Content Strategy: Create blog content about beauty tips, skincare routines, and product guides. This not only helps with SEO but gives Google more quality content to index and rank.
  • 5. Technical SEO: Check for any crawling issues, ensure mobile-friendliness, and optimize page speed - all factors that affect how Google indexes your site.

For streamlined implementation, Tapita: SEO Optimizer & Speed offers a comprehensive free plan that includes SEO audits, sitemap generation, and technical optimization to help solve indexing issues. For content creation, Tapita AI SEO Blog Builder is completely free and can help create beauty-focused blog posts that improve your site's SEO authority.

Be patient - indexing can take 2-4 weeks, but these steps should get you visible in search results!
