Feedback for your online store from the community
Why when a customer click on login the url says shopify.com instead of the store url?
Hi, @Luvy.
Welcome to the Shopify Community.
Are you able to share a screenshot of this section as well as a link to your store? This will help us gather more information to provide to you.
In your Settings > Customer accounts section, do you have New customer accounts or Classic customer accounts selected?
If you have New customer accounts selected, then a shopify.com domain will be displayed on the login page. The customer accounts domain is based on the primary domain for your Online Store. You can also connect a third-party domain to Shopify for your new customer account pages.
For classic customer accounts, customers can log in using an email and a password. The URL for classic customer accounts will display your primary domain.
I look forward to hearing back.

Hi, @Victoria
I have bound the URL in New customer accounts to my custom domain name. The domain name displayed after the customer logs in is fine. Only the account login page will be displayed as shopify.com/xxxxxxxxxx/auth....
This is very frustrating and this is not what should happen to independent stations.
@Victoria, I have a similar concern regarding the new login experience and domain consistency. For example, if my domain is mystore.com, I expect that when users visit account.mystore.com, the address bar will continue to display account.mystore.com throughout the login and account management process. It shouldn't show them a different URL like https://shopify.com/<number>/identity/lookup?destination_uuid=<uuid>&redirect_uri=https%3A%2F%2Faccount.mystore.com%2Fetcetera>—this can disrupt the user experience.
How can we maintain a seamless user experience with the new system?
I have the same issue and completely agree with Spelklieder. This setup is disruptive and may confuse users who are not tech-savvy. I'm sure there is a better approach out there for this situation.
you got any solution for this problem ?
