Feedback for your online store from the community
Hi there,
I opened my Shopify store about 3 months ago but as I'm new to e-commerce Ive only been happy with it for about the last month. Ive had had 1,500 visitors in the last 90 days but only 1 sale (as I typed this i just got my second haha) . From keyword searches I know my niche is a fairly good market and I seem to have much lower prices than any competition. Ive also been running some Facebook ads which do very well click rate wise but again no sales have come from them. Id really appreciate it if a few of you checked it out and gave me some advice. Thanks so much in advance.
Coming from someone who has ran Facebook ads for years, I highly advise against running paid advertising through Facebook or google ads unless you have a large budget to spend; I am talking $100 a day minimum. The reason is these platforms will send those with smaller budgets junk traffic, even with targeted interest, while all of the high quality traffic with higher conversion rates will go to clients that have larger budgets. It is much better to double down on social media and build those channels up. With Instagram, posting at least 7 times a day is ideal and Pinterest posting at least once a day every single day on multiple boards you have created. It will take time to build but it is infinitely better thank wasting money on a online toll booth for traffic.
I hope this post helps!😎
Thank you, Ive never head that perspective before. I usually hear people say go immediately into ads once they know the product works but thank you very much ill definitely take it into consideration
Hey @Jocons.
Thanks for reaching out.
I appreciate that you have provided your online store URL for us to explore! Looking into your store, I noticed that you are using the announcement bar to welcome your visitors to your homepage. What do you think about including a discount code or free shipping offer to create a buyer incentive? It can encourage your visitors to begin browsing through the available collections.
You have beautiful products on your store, by the way! You could potentially add a slideshow section to the homepage as the first section. This would be a great way to strengthern your brand and allow you to showcase you products as soon as your visitors arrive. For example, you could include your best seller or favorite product in the slides.
You can also add product reviews to your product pages to allow your customers to share their experience. This can provide buyers with an extra sense of security knowing that they can share their experience with others on the site.
Let me know if you have any questions.
