Re: Kids Shopping Cart Store No Conversion

Why is my kids shopping cart store getting no conversions?

Hi all, would love your perspective even if it’s just a line about how you feel especially if you’re a parent or work in children-related businesses.

I will attach my current two ads, one video one is just a photo. At best CPC is $0.18 and CTR can be 4.28%. They are all targeting within my province as the item is quite big and heavy and I only ship within my province thus far.

Problem is there is literately nobody adding anything to cart nor converting from the fb photo ad and the ins video ad. I did have two local marketplace sales and one organic search purchase from Google, which was really strange how they even found us and purchased.

Please let me know if anything could help… Longing for your advice and value! Thank you!

Hello, your store looks good! It could be an issue with the audience you're targeting with your ads. Some suggestions for your store:

- Add a CTA button and maybe some text to the homepage banner or at least make it clickable. ("Shop Now" etc)

- Consider offering a bulk discount or referral program, I assume your biggest customers will be grocery stores, this may increase sales.

- Announcement bar currently links to the contact page, but going to the product page may be better

- Add contact link to header or footer menu so customers have access, also will help with SEO (google looks for contact, about us, and similar content to establish trustworthiness)

- Unless legally required, I would remove the "cookies" bar, it's already a challenge to get a click from customers, you don't want it wasted on removing that bar

Hope that helps!

Hi @nondualreality,

I'm Garcia from PageFly - Shopify Advanced Page Builder App.

Generally, I love your store’s design, it looks classic but professional. From my CRO expertise, I’d like to give you my suggestions as hereby:

1. Resize the sticky header

It's great when you have a sticky header which makes it more convenient for your visitors to navigate around the site.

Another thing you might care is that the sticky header with the current logo might take significant space while scrolling with the logo above the navigation buttons. So I would like to suggest that you resize the logo and place the logo alongside the navigation buttons in the same row to save more space to showcase the products.

2. Resize the video in hero section

The banner or video in this section holds immense importance in hero material. It's the very first element that greets visitors upon entering your website. Let's ensure that consumers instantly grasp what you offer within a mere five seconds.

You’ve done a very great job by displaying the right video in this part. However, the size of it is not suitable for users to get a full view on laptop. They would have to continuously scroll up and down to see the whole image, regarded as a very big obstacle for UX.

Also, please make sure that the video is in high quality.

3. Keep styling consistent

A crucial element for an online store's homepage is the primary call-to-action button. This button serves as a direct link to the specific page where you want customers to take action, such as a collection or product page.

You’ve done a great job by putting the CTA button right where it should. But it's more important to maintain consistent styling for all call-to-action buttons to maximize the conversion rate.

Here are an example:

As you can see in my screenshot, one CTA button has arrow icon while the other does not.

4. Use color swatch

Product color swatches enhance conversion rate by reducing the number of clicks for customers to find the product they want. The shorter and easier a customer's path to the desired product is, the more likely they will make a purchase.

5. Instagram feed

Your Instagram content adds a fresh feel to your website by showing you’re active online and interacting with your customers.

Here is a demonstration of it:

And that's my feedback! Hope it helps you boost the conversion rate.

Cheers!

Hey,

  • This time I would say that the design is actually pretty good. There might be some minor improvements but those are rather less important.
  • What is more important though is your targeting: I assume your target audience are women of age 25-50 in the Toronto Area? With Google or Meta Ads, you can generally target very well. I would also target by interests - something related to children.
  • Finally, maybe you want to improve your social proof? You already have 2 reviews, which is great. You may also use an app like Platoria, which makes use of the fact that other stores have already sold this product and have many reviews - you will get an summary of those reviews by AI. Try it, it's free 🙂

All the best,
Stan
