Feedback for your online store from the community
HI All
I'd love a little feedback on our store. I've starting paying for google ads (not much) and I seem to be getting a lot of sessions in the store but no sales. Well not as many as I would love to be getting.
I would love some feedback on what more you all think I could do to make the store that more sellable 🙂
Thank you

Hi,
This is a very common problem with e-commerce websites. High traffic, low sales. 😕
I checked out your website. When I first entered, a popup appeared telling me to subscribe for a discount. I believe visitors should have a little time to get to know your brand and products to desire a discount. If I don't know anything about your brand/products, I'd probably close the popup right away. So maybe set the timing of your popup after the visitor scrolls some percentage of your website or after a specific amount of time?
Overall, the product images look really good. Only the image of "Drinkware" category looks low quality. Maybe you could fix that to increase the appeal.
I also think the Black Friday Sale page could use, maybe, a countdown timer banner? Maybe a flash sale popup? These are the first ideas that popped up in my head when I checked your website. Hope they help.
Cheers,
Thank you for your time. I've fixed the pop-up timing and work on the other suggestions

Hey @BellaArmadi
Welcome to the Shopify community. I'm more than happy to take a look at your store and suggest a few improvements to help with store conversion!
1. Use quality visuals. Right now I can see that all of your product visuals are not consistent in style and quality, which can greatly impact customer's interest and trust in your store. Product visual is the first impression of your store - so make it count 🙂 Make sure the images highlight the product strength and use.
2. Highlight your brand story. You have a lovely collection here, and to me, they can tell an intriguing story. Why the name "bella armadi"? Does it have any influence over your choice of products or brand style? What makes your products or brand different from others? Let your customers get to know you first, then win their hearts second, and sell to them finally.
3. Use reviews, testimonials, or user-generated content. They add a tremendous influence over your store's credibility and trustworthiness. You can get inspiration and learn how to add reviews to your Shopify store here.
4. Give spotlight to your best products. Have 1 or 2 winning products? Feature them on your home page! Thsi is especially true is you have multiple products, which customers can find it hard to pick which one over which. Having many items can lead to chocie paralysis, eventually result in no sales. So recommend your best product to customers - put them up high on a pedestal.
5. Having a sale? Make it super noticeable. Use sales-boosting tools like countdown timer, stock countdown, cart countdown, etc. to add urgency and scarcity effect to your items. You can start with a multifunctional app like FoxKit All-in-one Sales Boost.
Feel free to check out more tips and guides to increase conversion and sales here.
Lastly, if you need a hand in store design and upgrade, consider using Foxify Smart pagebuilder. It has over 40 high-converting design templates to start with, and 30+ sections to form a professional and stunning page. Everything is absolutely free to start, and you will get livechat support and weekly updated tutorial videos.
Good luck 🙂
Thank you for all the great suggestions i'll work through the, Very new to Shopify and all it can do

Hi @BellaArmadi
Usually when you are running Google ads traffic and not getting sales, there could be two possible reasons - either the campaign is not driving the right shoppers to your store and/or your store is not converting.
@vian_FoxEcom brought up a number of good pointers - two of which I would highlight:
1) Lack of reviews. Reviews are great social proof for future customers to decide to buy from you. Without those, it's hard to establish trust rapport with the customers.
2) Consistent quality visuals - the visuals on your store are not consistent. For example the best looking set of visuals that portrays a premium brand: the Debra Hutton Hats. It appears you are targeting the premium market.
However, the Skylar Vase - the images don't have a premium vibe to it. And there is also one blurry picture.
Especially if you are targeting the premium market, the entire site needs to look premium else it's very difficult to persuade shoppers to buy.
I have a video here that could help to shed some light:

Thanks Clarice! Great advice. Im just going through your videos on Youtube 🙂

Hi BellaArmadi,
This is Amee from Gojiberry - Shopify Survey & Feedback App.
I like the look and style of your store! Also the fact that you have linked your IG to the store as well. I took a look at your store and have a few suggestions that will help increase conversion rate:
1. Testimonials. Showcasing a few testimonials on your home page -- whether from online customers or family/friends, helps promote more consumer trust and confidence.
2. Refining your Google Ads target. (If you haven't done so already) You can choose a more relevant audience, select location, and time to display the ads. Finetuning this will help reduce costs and narrow in on the more relevant sectors.
3. Displaying more products. Adding a few more products directly on the home page with action buttons can help present your product to the customer without having them click through the categories.
4. Adding a blog. Writing about interior decor, giving some valuable tips and tricks would be a good SEO strategy to help draw in the relevant audiences.
5. Ask your customers! (Most effective for increasing conversion) Ask where your converting customers are coming from. You can easily do so with a post-purchase survey app, and reward your customers with coupons/points to keep them coming back again. Once you find out your strongest marketing channel, focus more effort and money on that.
Hope this helps!

Hi @BellaArmadi ,
This is Kate from PageFly, - Shopify Landing Page Builder App.
Your website is beautifully designed and elegant. It's clear that you've put a lot of thought and effort into creating a great online presence.
From my experience, I noticed a few things that could be improved on your website.
1. Reduce header size
You should reduce the header height because it's a sticky header. When scrolling the page, it currently takes up 1/3 of the screen size.
2. Highlight product price
Increase its visibility by using a large font size (similar in size to the product headline), bold text style, or eye-catching color.
3. Add testimonial - customer reviews
Customer reviews are proof of your product quality. This section will help you build customers' trust. You can show rating stars for each product or you can add customer reviews as text and photos.
Reviews are crucial when it comes to shopping online.
4. Get ready for holiday season
As the holiday season approaches, and with many businesses already gearing up for festivities like Black Friday Cyber Monday (BFCM), your products align seamlessly with this festive period. I strongly encourage you to implement these suggestions to maximize your success during these celebrations. You can use a page builder app to achieve this.
- Festive website design: Update your website with a festive theme that reflects the holiday spirit. Add seasonal graphics, banners, and colors to create an inviting and celebratory atmosphere for visitors.
- Holiday specials and offers: Ofer exclusive holiday promotions, discounts, or special deals to entice customers. Highlight these offers prominently on your website to catch the attention of potential buyers. Here is an example for you from our template:
That’s all of my feedback. Hope it helps to increase your conversion rate.
Cheers,
Kate | PageFly team
