Someone PLEASE review my store and give me any pointers, tips, or tricks. It’s been very up and down since I started 4 months ago. Great weeks and terrible weeks. Roughly 100-200 sessions per day but some days no conversions. Carelesscaps.com. Thank you!

Hi @Bigxyams

Thanks for reaching out to the community. This is MooseDesk - All-in-one Shopify Help Center/Ticketing System App

Firstly, I want to applaud your hard work in making your store beautiful and inviting. Your detailed layout and curated products create an authentic and visually pleasing atmosphere.

However, there is still room for improvement. Given MooseDesk's industry experience, here are some recommendations to improve your store's performance.

1. Navigation Menu

The navigation bar is located at the top of your website, providing users with information about your website's structure. I highly recommend consolidating all sections, such as Hats, T-shirts, Hoodies, and Fricken' Sweet Stuff, into an 'All Products' section. It should be organized as follows:

2. Homepage

2.1. Hero section

The Hero Section is a large area at the top of a webpage that gives users their first impression of your site. Currently, your hero banner is rather simple, making it less appealing for users to stay on your site. Your hero section should contain 03 points:

  • Hero ImageSelect an image that clearly communicates what your store offers. Otherwise, users may leave immediately because they don't know what they will get.
  • Heading content: The heading content should be straightforward, letting customers know what products you are selling and your unique selling points.
  • Sub-heading content: Add a short description to explain why customers should buy your product and the benefits they can receive when buying it.

Here is a good example:

2.2. Homepage Layout

2.2.1. Product Listing

The homepage layout should include product listings on the homepage to inform customers about the products you are selling by category. Currently, with all products listed at once, it may distract users, causing them to leave your website immediately.

Here is an example for you:

MooseDesk_0-1706770945218.png

2.2.2. About us

I noticed you have an 'About the Owners' section. I recommend moving it to the homepage so that users can learn more about your business, encouraging them to continue scrolling and stay on your website.

2.2.3. Testimonials/reviews

Users often make purchasing decisions based on reviews and ratings from previous customers. I recommend including actual statements from real customers about your products.

Here is an example for you:

MooseDesk_1-1706771100867.png

3. Footer

I've noticed that your website footer lacks some essential information. For an e-commerce clothing store, I recommend including the following sections:

  • Sitemap: Incorporate a sitemap to guide users through your website's navigation, encouraging them to explore further.
  • Your Business Logo
  • Copyright Notice: This section serves as a formal declaration that your website's content is protected by copyright, deterring unauthorized copying.
  • Shipping and Refund Policy: Address common customer queries about refunds, shipping times, charges, and the process for modifying shipping information post-purchase.
  • Your Store's Contact Information
  • Social Media Icons: Ensure your social media icons are easily accessible.

Here is an example of a good footer:

4. Customer Support

Ensuring round-the-clock customer support is a critical aspect of any store. Having a team available 24/7 ensures assistance is readily accessible when customers need it. Currently, I've observed that your store lacks a convenient platform for customers to reach out beyond the Contact form. This form might require more effort from users, potentially contributing to a higher bounce rate on your website.

I recommend considering MooseDesk, a support, help center, and ticketing system app. MooseDesk offers features such as auto-reply during non-business hours, a help center for proactive customer assistance, and a user-friendly widget layout. Moreover, it is available for free, making it an excellent solution for enhancing customer support on your platform.

If this is helpful for you, please let me know by giving me a 'LIKE'. If your question is answered please mark this as 'SOLUTION’.

Thank you,

Hi @Bigxyams

I am Garcia from the Shopify Advanced Page Builder App PageFly.  Your store looks great, but I have some feedback on your homepage. I'd like to offer you the following advice based on my experience as a CRO.

1. Make the navigation sticky

Sticky navigation ensures that the menu remains accessible at all times, irrespective of how far down the page a user has scrolled. This convenience improves the overall user experience, making it easier for users to navigate through the site, find what they are looking for, and potentially make a purchase.

A sticky navigation bar can be used to consistently display your brand, reinforcing brand recognition and trust throughout the user's browsing experience.

2. Re-design Hero banner

A well-designed hero banner is crucial for Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) as it's often the first thing a visitor sees when they land on your website.

PageFlyGarcia_1-1706777651438.png

Here are key elements that make a hero banner effective for CRO:

  • Clear and Compelling Headline: The headline should be attention-grabbing and clearly communicate the value proposition or the main message of your site. It should be concise yet powerful enough to engage the visitor immediately.
  • High-Quality Imagery: Use high-resolution, professional images that are relevant to your product or service. The imagery should evoke emotion or demonstrate the benefits of what you’re offering. For e-commerce, this might be high-quality product images; for services, images that represent the service's benefits.
  • Strong Call-to-Action (CTA): The CTA is arguably the most important element of your hero banner. It should be prominently displayed, using a color that stands out from the background. The CTA wording should be action-oriented, like "Shop Now", "Learn More", or "Get Started".

3. Put more effect to the CTA buttons

To enhance user experience and functionality, it's important to address the issue of some buttons on your site not working properly.

PageFlyGarcia_2-1706777651477.png

Consider redesigning these buttons to ensure they are consistent in style and hover effects with the rest of the buttons on your site. By making your call to action (CTA) buttons more prominent and functional, you reduce the likelihood of visitors leaving your site due to confusion or a feeling of being overwhelmed. Clear and compelling CTAs increase the chances of converting more visitors into leads, clients, and prospects.

4. Change this section to Testimonial section

Currently, this section does not have any information or any text to describe what section about. This is a waste and it can higher your churn rate.

PageFlyGarcia_3-1706777651510.png

I suggest you turn this section into a Testimonial section, because incorporating a testimonial section on a website can bring several significant benefits, particularly in terms of enhancing trust, credibility, and ultimately driving conversions.

PageFlyGarcia_4-1706777651526.png

Testimonials from real customers or clients provide social proof, a powerful tool in building trust with potential customers. Seeing that others have had positive experiences can significantly reduce apprehension and build confidence in your product or service.

5. Make use of the upcoming holiday

Creating a Valentine's Day promotion for selling caps can be a fun and effective way to boost sales during this romantic holiday. Here's a potential strategy:

  • Themed Caps Design: Introduce a limited edition line of caps with Valentine's-themed designs. These could feature hearts, love-related quotes, or even customizable options where customers can add initials or important dates.
  • Bundle Deals: Offer a special "buy one, get one at a discount" deal. This encourages customers to buy a cap for themselves and their partner, promoting the idea of matching or complementary caps as a romantic gesture.
  • Social Media Campaign: Leverage social media platforms with a campaign that showcases couples wearing your Valentine-themed caps. Use hashtags like #ValentinesCaps or #LoveInACap to increase visibility.
  • Influencer Partnerships: Collaborate with influencers who can showcase your caps in their Valentine's Day posts. This can help reach a wider audience and add credibility to your brand.

PageFlyGarcia_5-1706777651326.png

These ideas are just a starting point. For the best results, it's important to tailor these strategies to the specific audience and products of the store. Conducting user testing and focusing on user experience is essential for successful e-commerce promotions.

Garcia | PageFly Team

Thank you for the feedback! Do you know a reputable company I can hire to

I am glad that my suggestions are helpful to you @Bigxyams Unfortunately, I am not aware of any service team that can assist you with this particular issue. Another approach you might consider is utilizing a page builder to construct your website using pre-made templates, eliminating the need for coding or the involvement of additional teams.

Hi @Bigxyams ,

Here are few pointers you should consider adding.

1. Announcement bar on the top to promote the offers.

2. Add to cart button below the products available on the home page

3. Refund Policy link in the footer to gain the trust of the customers.

4. Add a product description so customers can know about the product.

Rest all other pointers included by other community members are also important. You can go through them for a better conversion rate.

Cheers!!
