Hi we have Shopify for a few years. Using also POS but we still don’t make any online sales.

1. Invest more for the hero banner of homepage

The hero banner in the homepage is an important touchpoint to impress your customers when they first land on the site. As I can notice now, the current banner may cause visitors confusing feelings, due to those reasons:

  • Lack of bespoke image of what products you are selling
  • Lack of heading & subheading text describe your brands and your core products
  • Lack of Call to Action button to guide customers what to do next

Invest more on the hero image and content to attract visitors at the first glance & add a level of professionalism.

2. Add secondary hover on image

You are displaying your products with a single static image. It would be better to use a secondary hover image to showcase your products in lifestyle or unique details/patterns of them, which can increase the likelihood of making a purchase.

Also I recommend adding an “See more” button to your first product showcase to encourage shoppers to explore the products to their liking without bouncing the site.

3. Create an About Us page

Consider creating an About Us page which gives information about the owner, brand story and mission. You can bookmark it on the header menu bar or on the footer, instead of showing it on the homepage with a text-heavy section, which may cause visitors to exit the page. Having an About Us page will increase brand trust and encourage visitors to engage more with the site.

4. Improve the product showcase

Shoppers often visit e-commerce websites with the primary intent of finding and comparing prices. You should set it bold or use another color to make the price information more noticeable. It will meet shoppers' expectations and help them make informed decisions quickly.

Also, consider adding an Add to cart button to the product display which will open a cart drawer to enhance the UX, and increase the chance of getting more sales.

5. Make an integrated styling for our website

Use a unified image ratio to display your products. It would increase the professionalism & UI of the site.

6. Update your current product description

Your current description seems not transparent and confusing because it has product specifications. You should use bullet points or accordions (collapsible content) to display the description in a more clear & persuasive way.

Put "Secured and trusted checkout with" in your footer. Other significant observations for store optimization are as follows:

 

  1. The default search landing page is a bit off, I mean it's empty. You can show products on that page as well by simply updating the default search on the website with different search solutions.
  2. You should add FAQs if any, again these also help in building search engine content.
  3. Add a live chat option on the website.
  4. Incentivise customers with irresistible offers that boost your checkout rate by 25%+.
  5. Finally, I would also recommend you to try Sparq product filters and search to replace the default search on your store, this app allows advanced custom tag product filters for collection pages, synonyms, spelling correction, and other such features.
