Feedback for your online store from the community
Have been generating a lot of traffic to my store however I am finding that customers are not converting. Today I have had over 100 visitors, yet I am yet to convert a sale, with a few customers reaching checkout. Average time spent by customers is less than 20 seconds, and almost all land on the home page when visiting the store. Any feedback on why the poor conversion rate might be so would be much appreciated and what I can do to improve said conversion rate, whether that be changing the product page, home page, or adding sections to increase customer trust.

Hello @CupBlaster,
Greetings from flareAI app helping Shopify merchants get $6Million+ in sales from Google Search, on autopilot! I am Gina, and I am here to help.
Here are some possible reasons why your conversion rate is low.
* If visitors struggle to navigate or find what they need, they're more inclined to leave without making a purchase.
* It's important to ensure that your product pages are concise, informative, and visually appealing, featuring high-quality images and videos.
* Make sure you're reaching the right audience with your advertisements, as targeting the wrong audience means your ads won't be seen by potential customers who may be interested in your products.
* Simplify the checkout process to minimize steps and reduce cart abandonment rates.
* Make sure you're reaching the right audience with your advertisements, as targeting the wrong audience means your ads won't be seen by potential customers who may be interested in your products.
* Providing incentives like discounts, free shipping, or gifts with purchases can encourage customers to complete their purchases.
Here are some steps you can do to improve your conversion rate.
- Make your website visually appealing, clean, and easy to navigate.
- Use persuasive titles, detailed descriptions, customer reviews, and multiple product images to showcase benefits and build trust.
- Improve loading times, optimize images, and choose a reliable hosting provider.
- Display trust badges, use a secure payment gateway, and clearly communicate refund and return policies.
- Highlight customer reviews, offer live chat support, and encourage user-generated content.
- Use customer data for personalized recommendations and implement abandoned cart recovery strategies.
- Align your messaging, optimize product listings for search engines, and utilize email marketing campaigns.
- Use analytics tools, identify areas for improvement, and test different strategies.
- Add meta description tag. It should provide a compelling description of your page where you have an opportunity to include keywords to increase CTR and ideal lengths are between 150-160 characters.
- Add alt tags. The alt tags on images have both SEO values and are used for semantics to the visitor in case the image did not render correctly.
