Why is my website's lighthouse speed score so low?

Hey there. Any feedback on my site? My lighthouse speed score is very low for some reason, so I already know that part. Anything else totally hmu! Thanks 🙂

Hey there @StoreOwner1231  here are a few suggestions that could be super helpful for you.

1) There should be social media accounts of the business linked at the bottom of the homepage. 
2) You should try get some customer testimonials on the homepage. It is an essential factor for some customers as to whether they patronize the store or not.

3) A great way to bring in new customers and keep them coming back for more is through the use of subscriptions that would reward them for their patronage. This is best tailored towards first timers and the most recurrent customers. Assigning these subscriptions however usually proves to be a very tough task and for this reason, I suggest you employ the use of the Seal Subscriptions App. This app helps to sort out which subscriptions should be assigned to what particular customers. You font color is too light and difficult to read so you can improve that.

You can write longer product description, describe the benefits of using your products and also try to include long tailed keywords in the description.

implement the lazy sizes because it's quite complicated for non-technical people.

You need to work on the following points :

  • Theme Upgrade if there is a scope and upgraded theme available
  • Reduce JS Payload.
  • Use Critical CSS.
  • Replace GIFs With Static Images
  • Reduce Large Image Sizes
  • Migrate Tracking Codes To Google Tag Manager
  • Compress Images
  • Limit Third-Party JavaScript & Shopify Apps
  • Preload Web Fonts. 
  • I suggest limiting it to one and using a standard web font.

Theme Upgrade :

Its benefits include improved loading speeds, which can help with both user experience and store conversion rates, and search engine optimization.
