Hey @Changeofview.

Thanks for reaching out.

I appreciate the context that you have shared with us as that is very helpful - this is a great question!

In order for your online store to show up on Google search results, Google will need to index your online store to collect the sitemap. Once that is completed, you should then soon see that your online is listed on the search results. I would suggest updating your online store SEO by navigating to Online store > Preferences. I took a screenshot from my test store to show you the section I am referring to:

24-10-46836-50114

After that has been updated, this will be the title and description that Google will display on their search results. With that being said, you can find and submit your sitemap to make the process a bit quicker.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Hello @changeofview,

Greetings from flareAI app helping Shopify merchants get $5Million+ in sales from Google Search, on autopilot! I am Gina, and I am here to help.

Can you drop your store URL?

There could be a few reasons why your Shopify store is not showing up on Google.

Below are some things you can check.

1. Verify that your store is indexed by Google
To check if your store is indexed by Google, go to Google and type "site:yourstorename.com" (replace "yourstorename.com" with your actual store name). If your store appears in the search results, it's been indexed. If it doesn't appear, it means Google hasn't indexed it yet. You can submit your store's sitemap to Google Search Console to help it get indexed faster.

2. Check your store's SEO
Make sure your store's pages are optimized for search engines by using relevant keywords in your product descriptions, meta titles and descriptions, and blog posts. Use headings to structure your content and include alt tags for your images.

3. Ensure your store's visibility settings are set to "online"
Go to your Shopify admin panel, click on "Online Store" in the left-hand menu, and then click on "Preferences." Make sure that the "Password protect your storefront" option is turned off, and that the "Search engine listing preview" shows a description of your store's homepage.

4. Check for any errors or issues with your website
Use Google Search Console to check for any errors or issues with your website, such as broken links or crawl errors.

5. Be patient
It can take time for your store to show up in search results, especially if it's a new store. Continue to work on your store's SEO and promote it through social media and other channels to help it gain visibility.

I hope these tips help you find your Shopify store on Google. Good luck!

Gina

For how long has your store been live? If less than 48h, don't worry cause it takes time for new websites to get indexed by Google. I would also follow FlareAI's checklist items 1 to 4.

Also, make sure your website name contains keywords that don't compete with much more popular competitors, cause then it is possible that you would not even rank in the first page for a while!
