I buy them on Aliexpress. i put videos on Tiktok and promote them directly with a link to my website. i had 400 people who viewed my store, but i havent made any sales. Im kinda desperate... does anyone know what my issue is.

Thats my store: spinflowtaps.com

Hi @jennybee,

I've had a look at your Shopify store, and while I appreciate the effort put into it, there are several key areas that require attention to enhance the user experience and overall professionalism. Here's my feedback:

Homepage Visual: The hero image, though it attempts to capture the essence of your product, fails to make an immediate impact. A clearer, high-resolution image that directly showcases the product can create a more inviting first impression (maybe also a video somewhere could work, as even after looking through everything, I still do not know how the shower head works or what is special about them)

Product Page Design: While the images are clear, they seem to lack consistency in terms of size. Consistency is key to providing a professional look. Also, there's an opportunity to make better use of the white space. A brief product description near the image could be beneficial.

Pricing Display: The sale indication, while clear, feels generic. A more designed banner or tag can make the sale feel more special and less like an afterthought.

Call-to-action (CTA): The 'Buy with Shop Pay' button overshadows the primary 'Add to Cart' button. Your primary CTA should always be the most prominent. Consider redesigning these elements for clarity.

Subscription Module: The 'Subscribe to our emails' section is quite basic. It could benefit from a more engaging design and a compelling reason for customers to subscribe (nobody wants to subscribe just to 'stay up to date' - maybe have a lead magnet or something here instead).

Navigation and Layout: The top navigation is clear, but the overall layout feels cluttered. Consider a more streamlined design. The choice of font and colour schemes also seems inconsistent. Opt for a uniform theme throughout.

Branding: Your brand identity isn't coming through strongly. Consider revisiting your logo, colour palette, and overall site design to ensure they align with the brand image you want to convey.

Overall I'd focus on building a strong brand identity for your store rather than relying on defaults, as this will help better build trust with your visitors and lead to higher conversions.

I've been reviewing many of these stores recently and so I wrote a guide about home page design that contains some other tips that you may find helpful.

Hopefully that helps, Jack.

Hi, @jennybee

I hope you are doing fine. I have helped 100s of e-commerce brands and share my best practices with you:

- Header/Logo is way too large. In Conversion Rate Optimization, we speak about above the fold, which is the part of the page that you see on your screen. In this case, the header already takes away a lot of real estate.

- Logo quality is also blurred, try adding a good quality logo maybe in svg or png format.

- Main hero product can be improved, try using a better high-quality image and show some info about it and a call to action button will be a better option.

- adding social proof (reviews, testimonials, and earned media) can be very helpful

- Showing mood images with faces actually can differentiate yourself from most drop shippers.

- On your home page, you try directly to sell. The customer needs to understand your why. Why should someone buy your product? What problem do you solve better than others? For me, that is clearly missing on the home page.

- White color codes are statistically the worst performing CTA color codes. You might want to test a different one.

- Add a variance of images. Also show mood and model pics there.

- Product descriptions can be heavily improved. Try to sell the benefit not the feature.

- Try to add an FAQ section which ease to solve potential customer doubts.

I hope I was able to help you a little bit. 🙂

I appreciate the effort you’ve put into your business. Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions or need further clarification on any of the points mentioned.

All the best,

Matthias from Permar

Hi @jennybee,

This is MooseDesk - All-in-one Shopify Ticketing System App, also an UX enthusiast 😄

I think your business idea is great and will work however to not wasting all precious traffic you acquired on TikTok, let's try change some elements to drive people to actually buy

1. Choose the landing page wisely

MooseDesk_1-1698223529205.png

So you said you drive all the traffic to your website, however the site spinflowtaps.com is literally an one-product-site - meaning that we only have 1 product here. Therefore, don't send the traffic to home page cause people will see how vacant the homepage, in turn doubting your TRUSTWORTHINESS.

So some first pieces of advice I'd give you are:

- Send the traffic you acquire to a single landing page

- Or turn this whole website revolve around the winning product, with Home Page looks like a Sales Landing Page, and menu navigation goes like: How to use the [Product], Benefit of [Product], Testimonial of [Product], Shipping & Refund Policy.

2. Make you Sales Landing Page converts

There are different layouts of sales landing page you can search on the Internet however I'd suggest a highly effective design, which goes like this

- Section 1: Hero Section with Sales-oriented Caption and bespoken image of the winning product or people using it (whichever you have). Here's a picture for your reference:

MooseDesk_2-1698224156008.png

(I only recommend using 1 CTA, when you click it leads you down under to the section with Product Details)

- Section 2: Product Detail (which is what you have right now)

This section can stay however you should add a more detailed description for it. A 4-5-line long introducing its specs is enough for now.

Moreover, you should use 3-5 images to showcase the product in different aspects. Using only one picture does not provide enough material to customers to understand the product better.

MooseDesk_4-1698224894775.png

- Section 3: Sales-focused section explaining all the perk, benefit, how the product would resolve customer pain point. Reference:

MooseDesk_5-1698227159115.png

- Section 3: Shipping & Return Policy

Tell how safe it is buying from you so people can be carefree to buy from you

- Section 4: Testimonial

People would believe more when there are people telling good stuffs about a thing they want to buy

- Section 5: Give them a new buyer discount

Win them over with a discount and redirect them once again to the product detail so they can actually really consider another time buying from you

So that's my scheme on how to convince visitors into buyer based on UX and CRO planning

3. Support

So a very important in creating great user/customer experience is designing a place where customers can easily ask about your product or feedback their experience.

Currently there is no spot in your site to do that. Customers might have question before buying and if you dont have a place for them to take it out they will swallow the question and leave for safety.

If you want to find a FREE option for that, MooseDesk is a good choice. It's a customer service app/ticketing system that could help you do all the things I have suggested above.

If you want to give MooseDesk a try, feel free to do it and hit our 24/7 support so we can help you enhance UX experience.

Hi @jennybee ,
Garcia from the landing page builder app PageFly here!

Congratulations on your store! I have some suggestions that might help your store look more professional and increase your conversion rate (CRO).

1. Re-create the hero section

Customers will need to scroll down on your homepage in order to see the content of the Hero section. To make the Hero banner more visible when a consumer hits the Homepage, you might consider resizing it.

PageFlyGarcia_0-1698227673183.png

When people visit your website for the first time, the hero banner leaves a memorable impression. Customers will leave your store if they don't know what you sell.

In order to guide customers around your website and increase the conversion rate, you can also include a call-to-action button in this section.

2. Highlight the CTA button

Without clear CTAs, users could find it challenging to grasp how to make a purchase or sign up for a subscription. Currently, you CTA not have any style or effect.

PageFlyGarcia_1-1698227721022.png

You can lessen the chance that someone will click off your website out of uncertainty or overwhelm by having a clear call to action.  You will obtain more leads, clients, and prospects the more individuals you persuade to click on your call to action (CTAs).

3. Utilize Swatches to Show Differences in Color

When users receive a product that falls short of their expectations based solely on words, the usage of variation text that results in a lack of visual representation may cause confusion or dissatisfaction:

PageFlyGarcia_2-1698227751295.png

Utilizing Swatches to denote color variations improves the buying experience for customers by giving them a visual depiction of the color alternatives that are accessible, which facilitates decision-making. Second, it makes choosing products easier and reduces the possibility of returns because of color differences.

PageFlyGarcia_3-1698227799400.png

4. Have an “About Us" page

An about us page aids in a company's differentiation from rivals. Businesses who sell products offered by other stores or use drop shipping will find this individualization helpful.

PageFlyGarcia_4-1698227823972.png

You can try to create a page “About us” like this.

5. Make use of the festive season.

You may attempt to launch these campaigns, for instance:

  • Flash Sales: Offer the product during brief, time-limited flash sales. Draw attention to how limited these reductions are in order to instill a sense of urgency.
  • Early Subscriber Access: Give email subscribers or VIP members early access to your BFCM deals. Build suspense and reward fidelity.
  • Present wrapping choice: Give clients who are buying gifts for others the convenience of gift-wrapping during the checkout process.

I hope that by following these guidelines, you may increase brand recognition, website traffic, and sales throughout your upcoming marketing efforts.

Cheers!

Hi @jennybee

I think you have 2 main problems here:

1. Price - a quick look on Amazon and I can buy similar products for less than half the price.

2. Trust - If you want customers to buy from you at a higher price you need to give them a reason. Work out your USP and get it on that hero image. Remove any barriers to purchase by including detailed shipping information, FAQs, trust seals like "money-back guarantee, returns, SSL security, secure checkout, free exchanges, and 24/7 customer support." Publish some customer reviews on your site, social proof is king.

Oh, and I'd also put some more product photos on the product page so users can get a real feel for the product.

Hope that helps!

Hey @jennybee.

Thanks for reaching out.

I appreciate the context that you have shared with us as that is very helpful! Looking into your online store, you could potentially add more slides to the slideshow section displaying towards the top of the homepage. This can allow your visitors to learn more about the product and business without having to scroll. This can also make the homepage more engaging and personalized for your visitors.

I noticed that you are using the announcement bar to inform your visitors of a free shipping offer - which is great! What do you think about also including a discount code to have in the announcement bar to create more of a buyer incentive?

I would also suggest adding your social media business pages to the footer of the online store as this can provide your visitors with a sense of security knowing they can reach out to the business across multiple social media platforms. You can add your social media links to the footer by following this guide here

Good work @jennybee. It looks better for sure. The product images look more tempting to me and sure as heck if there is a video it would increase the chance of getting a conversion

However, you might want to make the product description in the product detail shorter and focus on product spec and add a new section with longer sales content. It would be better.

Putting everything in the product description might wear your potential customers out.

This is an example if you want a good reference of what I'm saying: https://www.allbirds.com/products/womens-wool-runner-mizzles-stormy-mauve ^^

That's it. I personally think its getting better, way to go!!

And if my comment is helpful for you, please let me know by giving me a like 😉 it would make my day
