Masthead UX -

Gut most of the masthead on page load there's almost 20 UI elements wanting user attention before even getting to the actual content.

unless your brand building or you have ab-tested it: get rid of the social media links at the top of every page distracting/encouraging users to bounce off site.

In that same vein the masthead takes up almost 1/3 of the screen when the page loads.

Product pages has some icons on the description that make the page look broken:

1. The hero banner 

The banner image is visually strong, but there is no clear Call-to-Action (CTA).

Recommendation: Add a centered CTA button (e.g., "Shop Now" or "Explore Our Collection") with a contrasting color to grab attention. Place it above the fold to encourage immediate action​.

2. Improve the “Why Vidas Watches” section

Strong content explaining the brand's mission and craftsmanship. However, it lacks visual hierarchy and supporting CTAs.

My suggestions are:

  • Use bullet points to list key benefits (e.g., handcrafted, 100% in-house).
  • Add icons next to benefits to make them more scannable.
  • Include a CTA at the end of the section, e.g., "Explore Our Collection" or "See Why Customers Love Us".

 

3. The coming soon section

The "Coming Soon" message is clear but lacks urgency or a way to collect interest.

My suggestions are: 

  • Add an email subscription form or "Notify Me" button to capture leads.
  • Use a countdown timer if the launch date is defined, creating urgency​.

 

PRODUCT PAGE

1. The product title 

The main product image is large and clear, but the description section lacks focus and hierarchy. This may affect your product rankings on Google.

My product title format recommendation

⇒ [Brand Name] + [Key Product Type] + [Model Name] + [Unique Feature] + [Material/Color/Style]

Suggested titles for SEO:

  1. VIDAS Red Series 05 Seiko NH35 Automatic Watch – Stainless Steel Case, Leather Strap
    Keywords: "Automatic Watch," "Seiko NH35," "Stainless Steel," "Leather Strap"
  2. VIDAS Red Series 05 Limited Edition Handmade Automatic Watch – Japanese Movement
    Keywords: "Limited Edition," "Handmade Watch," "Automatic Watch," "Japanese Movement"
  3. VIDAS Men's Luxury Red Dial Watch – Seiko NH35, Sapphire Crystal, Leather Strap
    Keywords: "Men's Luxury Watch," "Red Dial," "Seiko NH35," "Sapphire Crystal"

My other suggestions are: 

  • Add Image Zoom or 360° View: Allow customers to interact with the product image for a closer look.
  • Sticky Add-to-Cart (ATC): Implement a floating/sticky ATC button that stays visible when users scroll​.
  • CTA Button Styling: Make the "Add to Cart" button stand out more by using a bolder color and increasing button size​.

2. The product description:

The product description is text-heavy and may overwhelm users.

My suggestions are:

  • Break the text into smaller paragraphs with clear headings (e.g., Materials, Design, Craftsmanship).
  • Use bold or italicized text for key phrases like "100% Handcrafted" and "Limited Edition."
  • Add a comparison table if applicable, showing how this product stands out compared to others.

  • A prominent CTA button: Use strong action-oriented language (e.g., "Shop Now," "Learn More") and make the button stand out

2. Add more images to the product page

High-quality, informative product photos can keep users on the product page longer as they explore different views. This can potentially boost sales for your store.

 

3 types of product images that should always be included for most products:

  • Images that show products “In Scale” 
  • Images that highlight a product’s features: Feature Callout images (highlight specific components/characteristics of a product that users will find valuable; use cases)
  • 3-5 Images that show products from at least a few different angles

3. Refine the footer section

The footer is often overlooked, but it's a valuable piece that can significantly enhance user experience and boost your website's effectiveness. 

 

To optimize this, consider displaying contact information, including your address, phone number, and email to the footer, instead of redirecting your visitors to another page.

4. Add a customer support section

Don't overlook the importance of customer support for your new online store. Being available whenever customers need you the most can help drive more conversion to your store. You can consider adding these sections to your website:

 

  • Contact Us page: Contact Us page is a page containing your store’s contact information: Phone number, address, contact email, … In some cases, the contact page also has a contact form to receive queries from customers.

 

  • FAQ page: FAQ page is a page containing multiple answers to frequently asked questions of customers. 

 

  • Live chat support: This is a widget that pops up on your website, allowing visitors to ask questions and get assistance directly from your team in real time.
