Zero Sales for Shopify Store despite running ads

Hi there, i have recently live my shopify store: selling accessories and have run advertisements on my social media - Facebook and instagram to boost traffic and sales. But i just dont understand why i do see some traffic but no sales? It's quite depressing because i have tried to input all the elements, paid for apps to be installed to ensure my website not only looks good, but is user friendly and pictures are also clear. Can i get help as i am clueless as to how to further improve it? I hope to get sales so as to sustain the operating costs of the website! 😞

Your store looks really great, I'm sure that you have put all your heart in it. Be persistent and I believe you will soon get more sales. Here are my suggestions for you:

1. Re-check your target audience

First of all, the reason why you have traffics but no sales might be because of the wrong target audience identification. Therefore, I think you should re-check your customer persona and analyze it cautiously.

2. Improve your social media advertisements

It is undeniable that social media is a lucrative channel for advertisement. However, maybe you didn't apply enough helpful tips and strategies to get many and valuable traffics to get more sales. Therefore, I suggest you should gain more advanced knowledge regarding Facebook and Instagram promotion. Along with the current channels, you could try Google Ads too.

3. Don't forget who abandoned their carts

Did you know that research from Baymard Institute has shown that "69.57% of online shopping carts are abandoned"? This is a huge number and what you should do is to follow up with shoppers who abandoned their carts and turn them into your customers. Email follow-up is a good choice and you can check out Klaviyo and Avada for this.

4. Enhance your SEO performance

I'm not sure if you have optimized SEO for your website yet, but this activity is crucial. If your page is ranked high on the search engine, you will probably have more site visitors to convert. Please check your overall SEO performance and implement changes if they're necessary. I think this SEO guide might be helpful for you.

5. Use the live chat feature

I didn't see you install the live chat feature to your website. According to Shopify, "merchants that respond to a customer's chat within 5 minutes are 69% more likely to get a sale from the shopper." Thus, you could consider using a live chat app. Tidio might meet your expectation.

Add Wishlist. Offering a Wishlist is an effective way to reduce shopping cart abandonment and fulfill sales from customers who showed intent but didn't purchase. This is a non-obvious feature that extremely scales your purchases. Since you offer various designs and color options, I recommend adding a Wishlist to improve the user experience. If the items from the Wishlist haven't been purchased, automated emails will be sent out as a reminder.

Add Blog: You know creating/adding of blogs gives you a great way to generate fresh content on a website and provide a catalyst for email marketing, social media promotion to drive search traffic to your website.

Add Testimonials: Creating a genuine testimonials are trust worthy. This is the one kind of marketing communication b/w customer and business person. So you can add efficiently.

Rating and Reviews:  Customer reviews are fixes the value of of product, And these will decides the your business growth. These will helps to increasing of your customers.

You can increase your followers through social pages and giving discounts also one way to increasing of sales.

I have just had a look at your store. Your store is pretty. I have just some small things I'd suggest for your Homepage for a better chance of gaining sales. May it help!

1. Make a sticky header

Sticky header helps customers easily access menu navigation although they scroll down or up on your page. Customers can also quickly reach the Search field to find products with a sticky header.

If your page is long, when you scroll down, there is no quick way to come back to your menu, especially on mobile. You do not have an anchor button to “Back to the top”, so it makes it very inconvenient for customers to go back to your menu and see other pages, products, etc.


 2. Improve your hero banner

The banner is very significant in hero material. It is the first thing customers see when they visit your website. Let's get consumers to know exactly what you're having in 5 seconds first. Your current images are pretty but I think we can improve it more, it doesn’t show the attractive products you have.


3. Have a CTA button on the banner/ slideshow

A primary call to action button is one of the important things for a home page of an online store.

With this button, you will redirect customers to the page you want them to take action mostly. It can redirect to a collection page, or a product page, etc.

4. Add section about your brand story

A brand story helps customers understand more about your business and also helps your store look more professional. 

5. Add testimonial - customer reviews

  • Customer reviews are proof of your product quality. This section will help you build customers' trust. You can show rating stars for each product or you can add customer reviews as text and photos.

Add a nice logo which gives identity and separates from the competition.

Organize header section with adding dropdown menu.

Include Blog page, Blog posting will allow you to show your followers a personal side of your business. In this way you can engage with Existing and New customers.

Add Testimonials or reviews on the homepage to build trust with the visitors.

You can promote your products with word of mouth strategy. Boost your sales with the app from the shopify app store   which helps to increase your sales.

There is no terms and conditions checkbox at checkout. I suggest you to install an app from shopify app store which provides 'I agree to the Terms and Conditions' before checkout .As it makes easy for the customer to read your terms and policies.

You can also sell your products on Etsy marketplace as it is very good platform to sell unique, handmade and Vintage goods . If you are already selling on Etsy store consider our Etsy Integration app in the shopify app store. Etsy is a Huge marketplace for selling creative goods such as art & collectibles, crafts & supplies, jewellery &accessories and more, you can give further exposure to your products.
