zip does not contain a valid theme: missing template "layout/theme.liquid"

I just downloaded a free template from templatemo.com, and when i tried to upload the zip file this message appear: zip does not contain a valid theme: missing template "layout/theme.liquid"

How to fix this problem?

Pls assist.

Please extract that zip folder and there will be again zip file
Upload that one, it will be uploaded without error

Thanks for responding to my question.

I already tried to extract the zip folder but there is no zip file. That mean i can't use this theme on shopify?
