Connecting my shopify store to gift card generating API

Hi...
This is my third year on shopify and I am doing a decent business right now on it, one of the eStores that I manage wants to connect some of the products, which is digital gift cards to an external API that generates due gift cards automatically, my question is is it possible to make it completely automated process using only shopify with no redirecting links.
