Additional payment gateways

Hello,

Is there any news regarding support for additional (local) payment methods such as iDeal?

There is no mention of this on the roadmap, but it's something a lot of our clients would love to see.

iDeal is available for merchants selling to the Netherlands who are also using Shopify Payments: iDEAL payments · Shopify Help Center. If your clients are not eligible for using iDeal with their business while on Shopify, I would love to hear more about that. I'd be happy to pass on any feedback or suggestions about the payment options available for your clients at this time.

Thanks, but iDeal is not available with the Subscriptions API.

Unfortunately this is not something we are planning at the moment.
This will appear on the roadmap if/when enough merchants have a need for it.

Yes, unfortunately payment methods like iDeal are difficult to support with subscriptions, because they require the buyer's participation in the flow when the future payments are being billed. I hope that helps explain part of the reason you can't find this on the roadmap.
