Hello guys.

I am developing an app with recurring charge and I have the following question.

In the review process, should the app subscription test attribute be set to true or null?

Hi miguelhuchim,

I understand that you are in the review process and you want to know whether or not you should send a true/null in an application charge. By setting this attribute in true you can test charges of your app before submitting it for review. After submission, the app review team will only test production-ready apps and if that attribute remains in true, you could not only get your app rejected for listing, but merchants who install your app won't be charged.

For more details you can dive into Testing your app’s billing system, but feel free to ping us back here anytime if you have more questions.

My best wishes to you on your subscription app.

Juan

Hi @otroyos  thanks for your reply.

I had already sent the app to review and it was rejected. I sent the test attribute with false value instead of null.

Do you think that could be the reason why the app was rejected?

On the other hand, the plan for which i want to charge is 0.00 USD as shown in the image below. is it a valid plan?

It could be, I would recommend you to check the rejection cause, go over the review process again and make sure you do not fall in any of the common rejection causes https://shopify.dev/apps/store/common-rejections.

For the case of the test attribute, the valid values are true or null according to the API docs.

A better place to ask about your subscription plan and your app review is https://community.shopify.com/c/shopify-apps/bd-p/shopify-apps.

Best,

Juan
