For discussing the development and integration of subscription-enabled shops using Shopify's Subscription APIs.
I am working with my developers on a new SEO App with a different focus than the existing ones - more on elements and content formats that can create a lot more visibility in Google and advanved technical SEO features that can be implemented with no technical skills.
The App is based on my 20+ years of experience as SEO-consultant for both small and very large companies many in very competitive markets. It is stuff that I know works very well but I haven't been able to find Shopify Apps that do (with the detailed but very important specs that I require).
The App will feature a number of "modules" - each designed to help with specific tasks and goals. We have decided to include it all into one power SEO App rather than a lot of smaller Apps (not the least because many of them benefit from being able to communicate together).
So, my question ...
We are planning to offer three plans: A free limited version, a small version (not with all modules and some limitations) and a full version.
However, as we will be launching the App when we are ready with the first few modules and then add more as we go, I am not sure what the best pricing policy would be - and what is allowed/possible.
Can we change pricing on the plans as we add more features? And if so what happens to existing subscribers of the App?
Or will it be better to fix the pricing now and maybe just begin with the free and small plan - and then add the large/full plan when we have enough modules included to justify that?
I have not been able to find good answers to these questions in the App docs or here at the community. So I hope some of you can help 🙂

Hi!
You can change the pricing on the subscriptions plan / product, but in terms of the existing subscribers / contracts this will not be reflected.
I believe the contracts or subscriptions need to be updated by the app.

Hi Jason! What do you mean by 'I believe the contracts or subscriptions need to be updated by the app.'?
