For discussing the development and integration of subscription-enabled shops using Shopify's Subscription APIs.
I have a development store with bogus gateway enabled.
I place an item in the cart as a logged in customer, and buy a product that is a subscription.
I can checkout and there is zero information in checkout that tells me this item is a subscription. I thought Shopify checkout was smart enough to recognize items that are subscriptions, and that checkout would offer some extras to the customer, so they know they are buying a subscription item.
Since I am not seeing that in checkout, what is the problem?
So I switched to Shopify Payments. So now Shopify is evaluating the product I set up. Thing is, I set up the product variant on a selling plan, yet now, in the test store, this is what Shopify shows when I try and add-to-cart. So my variant that is assigned to a selling plan, as part of a group, is flagged as not being part of a selling plan. Brilliant!

@HunkyBill this message could appear when the theme in your shop does not support subscriptions. You can follow this guideline to add subscriptions support to your theme: https://shopify.dev/themes/pricing-payments/subscriptions
Edit: use theme instead of template
