STRIPE_GATEWAY_NOT_ENABLED error after migrating payment methods from Stripe

Hi.

 

We have migrated a merchant’s subscriptions from Stripe to our Subscription App. But after some time, all of the migrated payment methods got revoked with the error code STRIPE_GATEWAY_NOT_ENABLED.

 

Some details and premises

  • The merchant’s configuration seems to be valid
    • ShopifyPayments is active
    • legacySubscriptionGatewayEnabled and eligibleForSubscriptionMigration both resolves to true
  • We have been successfully migrating subscriptions from Stripe for a while now, so I assume that our migration process is valid (Tough it’s completely possible that we might have done something wrong in this particular case).
  • After the first migration attempt, we noticed that all of the subscriptions payment methods had been revoked. So we re-created the payment methods using customerPaymentMethodRemoteCreate. But the same thing happened as the first time (All the payment methods were revoked after some time).
