Subscriptions API Target End users

New to creating Shopify apps and I want to confirm a few things about the subscriptions API:

Does the Subscriptions API enable subscription based billing for end users AND merchants? Meaning, using this API, will end users be able to subscribe to a merchants store and pay the merchant annually? Or is this API only intended for Shopify apps to charge merchants annually?

Hey there!
This forum is about the Subscription API, which is the former of the two you discussed: it will enable end users to be able to subscribe to a merchant's store and pay the merchant on a recurring basis.

The API for Shopify apps to charge merchants annually is the App Subscription section of the Billing API. A bit confusing, I know 😂
