I'm developing an application for clients that sell trading cards. They need to represent many thousands of cards with variants for each condition (example: "Mint", "Damaged") totalling around 700,000 variants.
I've been able to use BulkOperationRunMutation queries to handle updating large numbers of entities, but I'm hitting limits on how many variants I can create in a day. (1,000 max after the initial 50,000).
At this rate, it would take many months of consistently sending daily creation calls of 1,000 to the API to initialize a store.
I know of other applications/platforms that work with trading card companies and Shopify with similar volumes of products.
Is there an alternative way of integrating 3rd party apps with Shopify that can work around this limitation? or a process to request permission to bypass the 1,000/day limit?
Any help from a member of Shopify would be greatly appreciated, thank you!
