Why does my shopify page suddenly say this, when my products have been on google for a while, and it seems my ads are still running and getting clicks on google ads.
also as I am selling from spocket, they don't give you GTINs or barcodes for products. does this really affect your ad performance, and is there any way around it?
Hi soulhealth,
Currently, Spocket does not allow products to be sold on Google. The reason for this is that a lot of similar products are sold there, which leave very little scope for profit for our retailers.
As a result, Spocket products do not have UPC or GTINs, which makes it not possible to sell them via Google. In the future, we might consider having products with the required data. At the moment, however, these products do not have the codes needed to make selling on these platforms possible. However, there are other platforms you can use to sell Spocket products. Check this article to know more or reach out to us at support@spocket.co if you have any questions.
Thank you for your understanding!

Hi @soulhealth,
Hyde here from Shopify.
If you don't have a GTIN for a product, then you can request it from the manufacturer (although I believe Spocket does not allow merchants to sell on Google). There's more on this here. You'll need Unique Product Identifiers of some kind as outlined here.
You do also need to consider your Google Product Category requirements:
For more specific support you will need to reach out to Google directly here.
I hope that helps!
All the best, Hyde.

thanks Hyde, but is there a way to find out exactly what the issue is as I don't think it is any of the things you have suggested. I've been selling on google for a while and I have the correct size gender age colour etc.
