I'm trying to create a product template for products that are "archived" - ie, they're never coming back because they were one off/discontinued but I'd like to still show them on the site but make it clear it's more because they're incredible pieces of art/craft.
An example would be this knife. If we get another one, it would be a different product so we'd add that as a new item but I'd like to be able to create an archive template that essentially removes the "out of stock" info and any checkout buttons.
I can create a new template but I can't seem to do anything about removing the liquid snippet for the
{% section 'product-template' %}
If I duplicate the product-template file as product-archive it just throws an error.
Any ideas how I might achieve this?
Thanks
Hello, Welcomebrand.
You actually don't need to duplicate the template. There is an easier way for this to be done.
Through coding, you can set it so that the checkout button/ out of stock notice will only appear on a said condition. If you send me the code, here or through dm, of the file that the checkout button and out of stock notice are, I can try to add that condition.
Thanks for the offer, which templates/files would you need to see? Just to clarify - I'd like to select a template in the product page rather than rely on setting a specific tag/product conditions if possible.
Oh, if you prefer to have a different template, it's ok too.
You'll have to :
The last step is kinda tricky if you are on 2.0, so let me know if this guide works and you are able to follow it
oh sorry for that
can you please create new product template and assign particlur product if don't have checkout button
