This is an accepted solution.

That url is not the default search url.

/search is

/a/search is not.

Give that /a is in the url we can be confident that this is an app proxy - or in simpler terms - a url that an app has made. Are you still using a search app?

The default search url does work so you might need to adjust some code in your theme if you're no longer using a search app. If you need help with that the forum members can likely guide you through the process but be ready to share some existing code from your theme.

If you are still using the app you will want to reach out to the developer for support.

Hello,

I had a search page that came with the Shopify free theme. i deleted it and it's showing error: 404 message. I removed the page by editing the code. The search page somehow still appears in mobile version but not desktop version. Also, on the search page on the mobile version, if I click the link to perform a search on the search page, it automatically connects to the search in the header instead. Is there a way where I can remove the search page completely and direct it to the search header? Also, my store has not been published.

I wanted to know also if use an entire new theme if it will override everything in the Shopify Free Theme?

Thanking you for your reponses in advance.
