Account access location while setting up account

Hello,

I’m new to Shopify and I’m in the process of creating a new account. I have a quick question.

I spend a lot of time at my parents’ house, which is not too far (about 20 km) from my home, for personal reasons. Can I 'set up' the account and add items while I’m there? Would this cause any issues for ID verification process when opening an account? I’m running a few Etsy shops without any problems, but I had an issue with eBay because they said the IP location from where I accessed my account was different from my home address.

I just want to double-check before I proceed.

Shopify has a more relaxed policy on this, so feel free to go to Settings up your account and add products.

I have one more question, though. While I understand that I can access my account from different locations, I’m wondering if this could potentially affect my shop’s rating or any other aspects of my shop’s performance?

Not at all. But I recommend not using a VPN when binding your store payment method.

They will only ban your store if it violates the policy (such as selling infringing goods).

If you use an unsecured network to log into the store, they will just block you from logging in. (Set up 2-step verification is very necessary).
