I'm new to Shopify and was in the process of creating my website. However, 2 days later, I got an email stating that my account was deactivated because I violated the. The reasoning was very vague and am not able to get any support from their "support team". Have anybody encountered this?
That sounds really frustrating! Shopify sometimes deactivates accounts if they detect potential violations of their Acceptable Use Policy or Terms of Service, even if it's unintentional. The best thing you can do is contact Shopify support directly through their live chat or social media (Twitter/X @ShopifySupport) and ask for specific details about the violation
If they don’t provide a clear response, you can also submit an appeal or consider opening a new account with a different email after reviewing their policies to ensure compliance. If you were selling restricted products (like supplements, CBD, or digital goods), try using a third-party payment processor instead of Shopify Payments. Hope you get this resolved soon! 🙌
Hello,
Please note that I cannot submit an appeal it’s not going through. This is so infuriating and the support team does not even help.
