When editing a Shopify page, I can add text in the Content section of the page, I can select text in the content and add a link. Does Shopify support adding subject and body arguments with the mailto: feature?
This works fine in the Link to field of text (but as you can see I have not included subject or body arguments, which is my objective):
mailto:ShareMyFlag@flaglamps.com
This does NOT work in the Link to field of the text (trying to add subject and body arguments):
This does NOT work either :

Does anyone in Shopify care to comment on this request? It would be such a better user experience for us paying customers.

Yep, me too. Same issue.
There must be a solution posted somewhere, surely.
It's such a basic piece of functionality it shouldn't an issue (should it?)
So, I had a long and painful chat with a support advisor where I spent the first 20 minutes trying to explain that this was nothing to do with customising a 3rd-party theme 🙄.
The final bit of the conversation went as follows:
14:23 Agent (Support Advisor): I do not have any option to transfer this chat, however I did raise the issue and talked with the team.
14:24 Agent (Support Advisor): They have told me that on the option you can add a normal link this is a basic feature however it will not work with mailto as It is used to produce hyperlinks on websites that allow users to send an email to a specific address directly from an HTML document.
14:24 Agent (Support Advisor): without having to copy it and entering it into an email client.
14:25 Agent (Support Advisor): However, they have told me that the issue is already highlighted and the development team is working on this.
14:25 Agent (Support Advisor): You will be able to see this on the comunity post
14:25 Agent (Support Advisor): Community*
14:25 Darren Howe: Okay, so they acknowledge that it's a known issue
14:25 Agent (Support Advisor): Anything else I can help you with?
14:27 Agent (Support Advisor): Yes, they did and they have passed it to the development team.

14:27 Darren Howe: Have they suggested any sort of timeline for when this might be dealt with?
14:28 Darren Howe: I can see from the community chats that it has been raised as an issue for over a year now
14:28 Agent (Support Advisor): I am sorry we do not have any ETA available however they will update this on the Community posts.
14:28 Agent (Support Advisor): At this point of time I do not have any other information about this.
