Add an image to replace a color swatch using Impulse Theme

I want to add an image as a color swatch. When I attempt to do this, the swatch will display in the photo gallery and I don't want that. Is there an app to replace an image with a color swatch? Or, is there a code I can use to achieve this process? There are websites that displays this but I do not know what app was used.
