Add to Cart Button is not working - loading circle

Hi, we have problem adding some products (only in the german version of the shop) to the cart. The button just stays on the loading circle forever.  Around 3 of 10 products are not working and we dont know why. When you refresh the page, the products are in the cart...

We already talked to the Weglot support, because we think it has something to do with it, but they cant find the problem.

Maybe you guys do 😉

Weglot excluded the checkout button of the cart popup and it seems to work fine now. Lets see 😉

I understand that you were experiencing an issue with adding products to the cart on the German version of your store. I can understand how that would be an inconvenience for you, especially if it's only happening on some products and not all which might make it harder to troubleshoot.

 

Based on your follow up reply, it appears that you have contacted Weglot support and they have made some changes regarding your cart, and all now appears to be working - great to hear! I assume you are using the Weglot translation app from the Shopify App Store?

 

I checked the German version of your store, and all appears to be functioning OK for me. I can add products to cart, and I see no loading issues or other problems. If this error occurs again, then it would be best to reach back out to Weglot support to let them know. However, here are some general troubleshooting steps that would be handy to know if you ever need to troubleshoot things like this again:

 

  • Clear cache and cookies: Try clearing your browser's cache and cookies to ensure that the page is loading correctly.
  • Make sure your OS and browser versions are up to date.
  • Try testing it on numerous devices if possible, including phones, computers etc.
  • Check to see if you can temporarily disable third-party apps: If you have any third-party apps, especially translation apps like Weglot, try disabling them within the app settings to see if this solves the problem.
  • Switch to a default Shopify theme: Installing a fresh, unmodified version of a Shopify theme and testing on that to see if the issue persists can help to determine whether the problem is with your theme or elsewhere.

 

I had a look over your store by the way, and I think it looks great. I especially like the high quality images and your rolling banner messages explaining your discounts and shipping offers - that's a great way to encourage sales! How is everything going with your store so far? Is there anything that you are working on at the moment, that perhaps I could help with or provide resources for?
