Adding a custom customer address field in customers/addresses.liquid doesn't manifest

hello,

I've tried adding the following field to my addresses.liquid in hope to find it in the shop's address collection form:

<label for="AddressDistrictNew">District (Barangay)</label>
<input type="text" id="AddressDistrictNew" name="address[district]" value="{{ form.district }}" autocapitalize="characters" autocomplete="district">

However, nothing happens when I go to store preview and I still see the normal address fields.

any idea what's wrong?

You can't add custom fields to the address form like that.

Try using an app like Customer Fields.

Customer address options must be available.

For different countries and methods of work and delivery.

And apps should offer something special, not the basics.
