Announcement bar for limited daily orders, with dynamic 'stock remaining today'

Hey there,

I run an art store and can't accept too many orders in a 24 hour period as I make all the art myself. I know I can use apps like 'Mechanic' to limit the number of orders my store can accept per day globally across all products.

But I would also like to display this on the product/collection pages, for example through an announcement bar that says "Accepting 5 more orders today" or "5 artist slots left today" where the number of remaining orders is dynamically updated every time a new order is placed.

I've seen apps that notify all site visitors when anyone has recently placed an order, and I see apps that update goals for free shipping/gifts etc., but I've not been able to find an app that can display the number of orders left per day.

Is there any way to have this displayed on a Shopify store? I have seen some bakeries and food service sites use something like this (almost like a countdown timer, but instead of a clock it says something like "Hurry! Only 3 cakes left today").

I'm using the Craft theme for Shopify 2.0
