Anyone used the shopify-api-ruby library?

I have a client who would like to migrate to Basic Shopify but has a bespoke application written in Ruby on Rails that would need to access the product information (e.g. description).

Does anyone know if that is possible?

Has anyone used the shopify-api-ruby library to access product data on a Basic Shopify store?
