Automatically placing App Block on the PDP page

We are building a Shopify app which is using theme app block to show a section on the product details pages. This section is supposed to be automatically included underneath the size selector. Is there a way to automatically define a placement or is the expectation for the store owners to manual add the block using theme editor?

Is there another way to include a block on the product details pages which would allow us to do this, assuming that above is not possible?
