Hello All,
I'm hoping you guys can help with an issue I am facing that has got me stuck. At the moment we are running Avenue theme version 7.1.3. This has been working fine, no issues. However the developer has released 10.0.0 (yes we are a little behind in updates) and we thought it best to update to the newer version of the theme.
The problem we are finding is that there seems to be a conflict between the theme and the shopify variants in that the price is displayed incorrectly. For products that don't have a Shopify variant and/or products that are using King Product Options App the price is displaying as it should. I have reached out to the developer and they say a pricing app is causing the glitch, however I have turned off every app running and this has made to difference. They have also said a currency conversion app could be causing the issue however we are not using a currency conversion app, we are using Shopify Markets.
The fact that the glitch only happens with products using Shopify Variants leads me to believe there is a conflict between this and the theme. To help see the issue here are a few screenshots:
Current 7.1.3 version all running fine with Shopify Variant

New 10.0.0 version of the same product using Shopify Variant - also notice the swatches have gone which is another issue, more of that when the first issue has been resolved
For comparison here is the 10.0.0 version with a product using King Product Option App
And the 10.0.0 version with no Shopify Variant
The only time we can get the price to display correctly is when we make the variant picker invisible here:

So my question is, can this glitch be fixed? Who is responsible, theme developer or shopify developer? The easy fix is to use King Product Options for all products with a variant but KPA doesn't show swatches on the collection page so whilst the easiest solution it will not get the results we are looking for.
The second issue is that we have been told for the Shopify variant we need to change it all to the new product taxonomy to handle product swatches following the switch to version 10.0.0. However this means we loose the feature of the swatch colour being displayed on the collection page. I should also add using the taxonomy feature doesn't correct the issue
version 7.1.3
version 10.0.0
The secondary question, is there a way to still display the swatch on the collection page?
Thank you all in advance for any help on this, the little hair i currently have has been torn out 😉
