"I entered my credit card details incorrectly many times, and now I just realized it. Suddenly, it's not allowing me to proceed and shows this message: 'There is 1 error: You tried to add a payment method too many times.'"

Kindly wait for at least 24 hours and try to add your payment method again. This error showed because of too many attempts.
