Hello everyone,
I've already migrated all my products from BigCommerce to Shopify. Now, I'm looking to import a CSV file of 301 redirects from my BigCommerce store to Shopify. Does anyone know of a tool that can handle these redirects automatically through a bulk import? Any tips or recommendations would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
Hello!
My name is Alison, I'm the Customer Success Specialist for Ablestar apps.
It is possible to import a CSV file of redirect from the Shopify admin, without the use of another app. You can find the Shopify import redirect feature by clicking "Online Store", "Navigation", "View URL redirects", and then click "import".
We also have an app available call the "Link Manager". Using the Link Manager app, you can create a wildcard redirect to handle all the products, using something like:
You can read more about wildcard redirects here.
The Link Manager can also run "site scans" to find any bad URLs that may be contained inside the product descriptions, collection headings, blog posts or other pages, then help you identify and correct or redirect them.
While installed, the app will also monitor the site and list any "page not found" errors as they occur. This can be helpful for finding bad URLs that may still be indexed in search engines, or are saved in old emails or bookmarks your customers have.
