Breadcrumbs showing up in multiple locations

I added breadcrumb functionality to our store and it's showing up on multiple pages. However, I can't figure out why it's showing up in different places for different templates on the site.

How do I move the breadcrumbs' location for each different template page? And how do I find the existing configuration because it looks like there are pre-existing settings somewhere affecting the location for various templates.
