Broadcast Theme Atrocious Page Speed Score

Hi there, 

Getting a site page speed score of 14-16 out of the box with Broadcast. Have compressed images a lot but top optimisation tips from Google are all Shopify JS related or else lazy loading white should be working by default as classes for images are tagged as such. 

Has anyone experienced this?
