Can customers use social media accounts to log in for purchases?

Is it possible to create logging in for a site?  An option is that he customer must log in with a social media account in order to make a purchase. Through the e-shop.

Shopify has a built in integration that allows your customers to sign up for an account on your store. You can also make it a requirement for the customer to be logged in to complete the checkout. I can definitely see how this can be useful if you are operating a a members-only store, but it can significantly decrease your conversion as customers will need to go through the registration process before making a purchase. I'd love to more context regarding your business and thought process when considering this so that I can provide some valuable feedback.

You mentioned that you are also looking to enable a log in through social media. This is a great idea as it allows the customer to easily make an account. We have a few apps on the Shopify App Store that allow for this functionality. One being the One Click Social Login app, which allows customers to log in with popular platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Google, Outlook, etc. You can also check out the Oxi Social Login and Smart Social Login apps as well.
