Can I exclude certain products from adding to cart?

Is it possible to exclude certain products from adding to cart? 

Need to exempt certain products from being able to be added to cart / purchased online, but would still like to advertise them.

I understand you'd like to remove the Add to Cart option for specific products on your store, however, you'd still like to display these items. I would like to advise that hiding the Add to Cart button is an advanced tutorial and is not supported by Shopify. 

I managed to find this community forum post Hide Add To Cart On Certain Products In Grid View. It looks as though a user has supplied a specific code that you can input into your theme. However, the user who posted is using Refresh theme.

If you're not comfortable applying HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Liquid, I recommend hiring a Shopify Expert to assist you with this web design. This information is also shared in our Hide Add to Cart buttons resource.
