Can I get all my automatic discounts on my store via API?

Hello,

We want to build a product recommendation API that allows us to recommend products of the same "product_type" in our cart page. We already have automatic discounts setup with Shopify's Script Editor that allows discounts to be applied when a user adds 2 products of the same product type. 

As part of the recommendations API we would like to know if a product type is eligible for an automatic discount so we can show a message in the UI.

Is there I way I can check if a product type is eligible for discount?
