We had a domain that was connected to a store and it expired.
If we renew our shoplify billing cycle do we also get our domain back?

Thank you for reaching out to the Community! I'm happy to provide some assistance with your domain, to ensure this gets resolved.
If your Shopify-managed domain has expired, you will have to connect with us directly. This will our support team to get you authenticated, as we wouldn't have access to any account specific information through the Community. They will be able to ensure the domain is successfully renewed during the grace period provided.
To connect with us, you can:
Head over to our Help Center.
Enter into the chat box Contact Support.
Log into your shop.
Select one of the available support options.
To provide some insight however, your domain subscription is separate from your Shopify subscription. Due to this, paying for your Shopify subscription bill monthly or annually will not renew your domain. To learn more about expired domains, you can check out our Renewing Your Shopify-Managed Domain.

We are not able to buy the domain on any of the third party sites like go daddy.
Please suggest if we can buy the same from Shopify and the process for the same.
