Can Shopify apps help comply with EU data protection rights?

Are there any apps by shopify that can be integrated to comply with the data protection rights of a particular country ?

In terms of apps, there are a number of options that are aimed to help merchants adhere to EU data regulations. These primarily offer a cookie bar that can be displayed on your website, and your options can be viewed here.

Is it enough if I download these apps or do I  need to hire a lawyer/ legal counsel for more transparency ?

Shopify provides documentation that offers advice on how merchants can be GDPR-compliant, and there are plenty of resources out there on how to comply, but ultimately if you are not completely sure on on your obligations then speaking to a legal professional is always advisable. I would encourage you to read the resources shared in my last post and do your own research first and foremost; you can then make a decision on whether or not you feel comfortable enough proceeding without the advice of a professional who specializes in this field.
